What do you mean? Do you mean for the player list? Because in all honestly if you mean the player list then the old one was 10 times better. While they may have wanted a new design for the player list in doing so they removed a key feature. In the old player list you were able to see your stats next to your name on the Topbar, even when the list was closed. Now however you have to open the list, scroll around to find your highlighted name and then look at your stats instead of just looking in the top corner and seeing your stats.

I changed my opinion about this update, actually.
Like many people, I am concerned ROBLOX users will impersonate others. And not just in the star program. YouTubers such as Sebee and ModernChris and so forth fall victim to this. And, Flamingo shows how easy it was to impersonate himself with a capital i instead of an lowercase l. Another thing is, if a scammer meets someone in game, they can change their display name to that persons username, and scam on the stolen person’s name. This could result in lot’s of fake bans and complaints from the community. To simplify, let’s say Person A is a scammer, and Person B is just a regular ROBLOX user. Person A changes their display name to Person B’s username. Then, Person A can scam others using Person B’s name. Then people report Person B for scamming, and Person B gets banned, when truly, they are innocent.Even though the user’s real username shows int he chat, people don’t know how to open it, or just don’t. Also, for phone users, they can’t see the leaderboard.

if you join a roblox game your display name will appear for only a few seconds and than returns back to your normal roblox username

How do you even make the display name? When I go into settings it’s not there. I’ve seen a lot of other people with displays in games.

It was only around for 1 hour and you could of used a VPN and set it to germany to get it

Me, I used a VPN to Germany for get my display name because it was too late

Is it patched? Because I now still don’t see the display name in game only above my head.

In some of my games, display names are visible above your head and in the chat

This is going to be pretty interesting. I went through the Chat modulescripts and found some references to DisplayNames in there, so I’m guessing that Display Names are going to be used in Chat, as well as the Leaderboard, Website and the name above the player. For some reason, whenever you join a game with a display name, you see the display name on the leaderboard for 1-3 seconds, then it reverts back to your username. This may be intended or just a bug. Anyways, I just hope that Display Names won’t go too downhill.

I am a beta tester why don’t beta testers get it 
you may as well remove beta if it has no use and also maybe you should provide a way to disable it but only for small game owners just so no impersonation happens.

Hold on, I have seen some people use display names before, and they stay like that and don’t disappear and get replaced with their normal username. Was this because of the testing?

It’s been about one month and Roblox still hasn’t told us when It’s going to actually come out for other counties. I guess they abandoned it.

I don’t see how Roblox will fix the impersonation problem. Because the display option is free, there’s going to be hundreds of players impersonating youtubers and developers etc.

Well, yes and no,
We do not yet know nearly anything about this feature, but I would like to see at least these being a thing.
- Display names cannot be other usernames. That would prevent impersonation.
- An actual mod, not a bot would have to check those.
