So. Why does roblox ban people trying to say discord or example bypassing it using dizzy, d2zzy d1zzy, blueapp, dc. Etc.
How does this violate “Privacy: Asking for PII”

Because Diecord is notorious for having questionable people and Roblox doesn’t want to deal with any of that smoke.

Saying discord classifies as directing users off platform, normally you would just get a warning for this, but depending on if you’ve had previous moderation history, the punishment can very.
Have you received any warnings, bans etc, before this? If so thats probably why you were banned.

Well do these violation counts ever expire. my last punishment was in december 2024

Sometimes the filter is really silly and it doesnt get filtered, that or they changed up the letters or smth.

Yes, except youre kinda thinking about it wrong.
The rules clearly state that you cant do that sorta thing (well at least in my opinion), so doing it anyways is still on you, you still chose to break the rules. So yeah, its still your fault, you just get extra punishment for it.

A story
I was trying to ask someone “what’s your friend user name” so i show them mercy too and not kill them on sight, but the message got filtered ( maybe roblox thought i was asking for their real name? Or some personal info)
If the ban was because a message didn’t get filtered ( yeah that’s not good in my book )
If it was because someone reported the message then yeah I agree with you.

I believe roblox wont take action against you if the filter fails unless somebody reports you for it, why? Well the thing thats supposed to make sure you dont say anything bad failed, so I dont think the moderation AI thinks its bad until it gets reported. Thats just a theory, a roblox moderation theory. But still, you chose to ignore the rules, thus you were punished. Honestly maybe they shouldnt just filter it and just give you a warning for violating the rules! :D

To be honest i only knew of ( discord bad and evil ) because of roblox, I’ve used it for 5 years (or more) and didn’t find anything weird even when i was still young.
after seeing roblox treatment to discord I searched a bit an found the evil stories on YouTube. ( the Streisand effect is funny

I dont think thats why they stop you from saying it, cause as the rules state, you’re not allowed to direct users off platform, this is due to people who are under the age of 13 who shouldnt be on discord, certain countries dont allow it, and some parents just dont want someone telling their child to go off the platform.
So yeah, I dont think they care as much about whats on discord, just what I said above.

This is a long thread i don’t wanna read. Discord is not breaking the rules against giving PII however, it does break the rules under directing users off platform
It might have been falsely classified as personal information but either way it breaks the rules
