This is a cosmetic issue, as it does not do anything. you can click behind it and press FILE without seeing it.
A random scrollingframe will appear over the FILE button.
Expected behavior
I expect to see some clear UI with the text “FILE”, instead there is an unnecessary scrollingframe here
That is the QuickOpen button, I often have that too, I just restarted studio many times and It vanished, but Idk what to do against it maybe just deal with it you can still click the File Button. Wait for an Update or maybe you can disable it in the settings?
This is still happening, since weeks, and it can cover more buttons (this happens 10-25% of the time)
Yeah have it right now too it really sucks man. I hope they just will delete this feature, but maybe you can disable it in the Studio settings or something. Hmm…
Hi all, is there any more info on this in terms of how to enter/exit the bad state? Someone above mentioned the quick open menu, but not sure how it relates. Does opening/closing quick open produce the state? Does closing it resolve it? We’ll need more info here to react as we haven’t seen it on our end.

Have you tried resetting the docking tabs using CTRL + P → >Reset View? If I’m not mistaken, this fixes how some windows/tabs display while using Roblox Studio… A day ago, a colleague of mine experienced something similar and when following this, it turned back to normal
Did you happen to do anything with the quick action bar prior to this (adding, removing something?). Anything with changing languages? Other settings (theme?). You mentioned “periodically”, does that mean this happens/doesn’t happen in between restarts? Sometimes you have it some times you don’t? Do you run full screen or windowed? Is this mac or windows?
I believe it was the first start after I turned my pc on and it didn’t happen after I restarted studio completely; I don’t use quick action bar (not familiar with it), haven’t changed anything in settings or language, it’s in windowed mode, my oc is windows 10

I’d bet it’s some bug in the code, I keep getting it frequently. Let’s pretend these are roll clouds; They were super rare beforehand, and now it feels like there’s at least one per day.
I would expect so! But prior to resolving this we need to understand how its getting into the state in the first place. The most obvious answer to me is that it depends on some other layout or other customization (like quick actions buttons) - but it sounds like it can happen without quick action. So the trick here is to nail down what’s happening on the system to cause it. If its happening frequently enough, a log from the session it occurred would also be helpful. There may be an error we’re printing from whatever related system that makes it obvious.

No, we generally keep it to 1 post for 1 issue, along with reproduction steps, logs etc. These map back to internal tickets on our end that get assigned possibly to different teams. Lumping in different problems means that one of them gets dropped, or the conversation gets missed because different people in the thread are talking about different issues.
