I recently tried logging into my Roblox account, which is the group holder for a group with over 50,000+ group funds. As soon as I logged in, I got a “Security Notification.” I followed the steps, entered the linked email, and then found out the email had been unlinked and the password was reset.
This isn’t the first time this has happened—and I’m not the only one. Many users are experiencing the same issue. Even though my account had a verified email and 2FA enabled, Roblox support told me they “don’t have enough information to verify ownership” and refused to help.
I showed them clear proof: linked email records, 2-step codes, login history, and more. But support either ignored the evidence or repeated the same generic message.
After looking into it further, I found reports from others—including a bug report by Bulabileceklerse—where Roblox staff said the issue was fixed. But clearly, it’s still happening.
The worst part is how the system unlinks your email during a password reset. That makes account recovery nearly impossible. At the very least, users should keep their linked email to regain access. Right now, the system just locks you out with no real way back in.
So it seems like your issue might be different, or maybe you’re missing something. The suggested solution was to contact Roblox Support, explain the issue, and they should be able to recover your account and link it back to your old email address.
The problem with the Security Notification is that it unlinks the email, making it impossible to reset the password. Honestly, I don’t know why they are resetting people’s passwords in the first place.
Keep checking the private message part of your post, you’ll know if staff revived it when the view count goes up. Mine went to 3 (1 of them is me, the other 2 are Roblox staff). Best of luck to you!
Despite what you claim to be true, I can’t contact support in any shape or form, because the AI chat immediately blocks any attempt as not having sufficient information. I don’t understand what you don’t get, my only current access for fixing this problem is to make a devforum post like everyone else, and have staff manually grant access back to these accounts.
Seems more like you don’t understand this problem since you just had admins immediately link your emails back to your accounts, and you didn’t have to deal with the strenuous support system that gives you a bot reply for everything.
Is there going to be any update to this? This is still not fixed (though previous posts neglectedly state it has been.) Can we seek any resolution to this problem? Seemingly thousands of accounts are having emails removed unexpectedly without any outlet to resolve this problem.
Update; I have received access to the accounts affected by this issue, but support should still have a reasonable means as for users to access support for this problem.
