Do NOT force this feature.
It is personally horrible, bounding the entire outline of the part, keep it classic, or make this optional.
I truly hate this “improvement”.

Option To Turn On Or Off The New Feature
Please can we have the option to use the old selection method
Ive been so used to the old selection when building large scale and this new selection feature its making it really difficult for me to traverse properly.
Would love to have an option to turn this off, personally.
The clutter it creates when building with parts that intersect each other is too much. The improvements for occluding the outline on selected parts is a big improvement, but moving a single part still creates an issue of a lack of depth perception when resizing or moving parts near other parts.
Seeing the outline of an object through a wall is completely unnecessary.
EDIT: Whoops, didn’t mean to reply to you, SaturianNightmare.
Unpopular opinion: I actually love this feature, considering that I can still turn on the the bounding boxes.

The bounding box toggle should either disable the new selection highlight, or there should be a new option to do change it to the legacy.
This new selection is making it harder for me to build and I don’t think this drastic of a change should be forced onto developers.
I have a feature requests about it here; Make bounding boxes option disable latest selection feature
nice im excited to try it out it looks like a huge method of saving time!
There should be a way to set the selection line thickness and selection hover thickness to a minimum of 0 pixels instead of 1 so that those who wouldn’t necessarily want this feature can remove it. Personally, I just like having the bounding boxes.
It’s my third day using this tool and there are some quirks. Doing my best to get used to this change, I am used to the old selection box behaviors for the past 14 years!
3D outlines for edges you cannot see give the illusion that a part is overlapping as seen below. The reality is these parts sit perfectly against each other.
Enabling Selection Box in View helps fix this but you can still see edges you cannot actually see:
Additionally it’s somewhat dizzying to see large parts of my world become selected. I lump like models together for organization. Unfortunately this means seeing every tree in the map flash in and out as I wave my mouse around in a build:
Edit: This third issue seems rare, maybe even something I’m doing wrong with this file. Ignore. Difficulty selecting parts when the Camera is inside another part. The selection insists on selecting the part I cannot visually see on my screen because my camera is inside of it. I should be able to click anything I can visible see. For example, I cannot click the green rug in this screenshot without multiple alt clicks:
I hope this remains a toggle after it leaves beta, because of numerous issues listed above and the fact that we cannot remove the highlight.
This is a very big problem, for everyone I think, if they do add a toggle or should have 3 options, “Toggle Outlines”, keeps outlines just like now, “Toggle Selection Box” toggles selection boxes like the old times, and “Toggle Outlines & Selection Boxes” which will toggle both
I really want them to add this, as it’s very bugging to me and it seems like it’s also bugging you, the creatore of Jailbreak, which is a very popular Game, and if you don’t push out updates on time you’ll lose Players, you’ll get less Robux and Roblox will get less money, so Roblox will lose money
I also can’t believe I’m talking to one of the Developers of Jailbreak, which is one of my favourite Games on Roblox
The new selection box very often visually leaves selected models/parts that were previously selected (sometimes just hovering over them with the mouse is enough, although I’m unable to provide actual reproduction steps, this just happens randomly). The only way to deselect such a part is to duplicate it and delete the old one. This is absolutely annoying, because I’m unable to tell what parts I have selected and which are just visually stuck.
I can barely tell what I have selected
One small problem here.
Although selection highlighting is visually more appealing, selecting items still uses a bounding box as seen in this video.
I don’t see any bounding box, there only outlines
I just adopted this feature and it’s absolutely amazing! Just gotta get used to a few minor changes when selecting a few tiny parts in details.
My biggest issue is that the old system used to be intuitive.
You’d hit Alt with the mouse over the Parts you had and it would use the SelectionBox of the item it was over and it would NOT automatically highlight other Models behind/around whatever the mouse was inside.
If you have a detailed model with many small Parts it’s useless at picking which one the mouse is over without picking up the entire model outline.
The new system seems to work fine for some people’s way of building, but not others’
Make all the options toggleable like so many others have requested.
He’s showing that the mouse position highlights the selection when the mouse hits where the bounding box would be.
Oh okay, I don’t notice that
Selecting objects from far distances is a little bit more tedious now, as you have to zoom in closer to select them, it would be nice if we had the ability to customize how far we can select objects from.
