I wanted this while highlight came and it finally came
Yeah but I mean in case it gets implemented
I am loving these selection changes. Do you think we could see changes made to how locking parts inside folders behave?
Currently, if you have multiple parts inside a folder, locking one part will lock every part inside that folder. Folders are great for organizing huge scenes and multiple world areas but basically make the locking tool unusable if you’re trying to lock just one part in a scene.
Kon’nichiwa!
There already is an object version called Highlight

Yes - this change is in the process and will be released soon!
Hi @Dysche - thank you for the feedback! Does toggling bounding boxes on with the selection outline still visible solve this issue for you?
We are not planning on deprecating Bounding boxes!
Hey @p_aryy, thanks for the feedback. We definitely want to get to the root of this problem. Do you by any chance have openGL turned on in Studio Settings? (Studio Settings > Rendering > Graphics Mode)
hey @kirazeee325 could you please reply to my previous post or let us know if any of the suggested features and changes will be implemented?
(also sorry if this comes off as aggressive or mean that isnt my intention at all lol)
Hi @LaAeroooo – thank you for your feedback. We’re in the process of working on providing depth information; we’ll provide a more in-depth update ASAP.
Is there no option to disable selection cycling? If I already have a part inside a model selected and I want to move that part and that part alone, alt+clicking+dragging instead selects something else entirely, and I’m getting sick of it.
At the very least, I think it should be bound to another key, or another key in addition to alt. Alt alone should be reserved for selecting individual parts.
Will the new selection outline be for the SelectionBox object aswell?
The functionality of the selection box will remain the same. This outline is for highlight
instances.
I was mainly asking for a response regarding if there will be a way to make a selectionbox with the behavior previewed in the original post.
if anyone knows anything about it please let me know, because I am interested in this.
SelectionBox will not be updated as far as I know.
Please add a way to disable always on top or lower the outline opacity behind meshes its horrible when moving parts and meshes precisely
Yes - bounding boxes will remain a toggle-able feature - if you have the beta enabled, you can toggle bounding boxes on/off from the “view” menu.
How do we disable selection cycling? This new feature has caused considerable disruption to my workload, I’m now having to click several times to get past this unpredictable behaviour. I only want to select the part I’m pointing my cursor at, like it always has been.
