This document was written by the administrative board in association with the staffing department to establish information regarding the overall rank structure, information, and description of Seltzer's ranks. The information provided below was created by the administrative board and the staffing department to overall benefit Seltzer's employees, customers, and partners. Rank Descriptions

The ranks listed below describe the overall rank structure. This is NOT how a rank gets promoted. The rank promotion guide can be found after this section. Below, you can find our rank descriptions efficiently created by our staffing department;

Low Ranks
Seltzer Customer (SC) → Normal Seltzer Member/Customer
Noted Customer (NC) → Recognized Former HRs & Affiliate Representatives
Honour Member (HM) → Recognized Former SHRs & other contributors
Trainee (TE) → A new member of Seltzer’s LR Team who can not serve customers
Junior Barista (JB) → A member of Seltzer’s LR Team who can serve customers
Barista (BA) → A member of Seltzer’s LR Team who can serve customers
Senior Barista (SB) → A member of Seltzer’s LR Team who can serve customers
Head Barista (HB) → A senior member of Seltzer’s LR Team who can serve customers

Middle Ranks
Staff Intern (SI) → A staff member that is starting their internship in management
Supervisor (SV) → A management member that supervises Seltzer’s facilities, attends interviews & trainings, and hosts shifts and interviews
Assistant Manager (AM) → A management member that assists upper management, has rank ranking permissions, attends interviews and trainings, and hosts shifts, interviews, and trainings
Manager (M) → A management member that is a higher management member, has rank ranking permissions, attends interviews and trainings, and hosts shifts, interviews, and trainings
Coordinator (C) → A management member that assists council, has rank ranking permissions, attends interviews and trainings, and hosts shifts, interviews, and trainings. Coordinators will start their internship in staffing, operations, or communications as this is the last middle rank

High Ranks
Executive Assistant (EA) → An administration member that assists a specific department and has all MR+ permissions
Chief Communications Officer (CRO)-> An administration member that helps coordinate the communications department and has all MR+ permissions
Chief Staff Officer (CSO) → An administration member that helps coordinate the staffing department and has all MR+ permissions
Chief Operations Officer (COO) → An administration member that helps coordinate the operations department and has all MR+ permissions
Executive Board (EB) → An administration member that is a lead or co-lead of operations, staffing, or communications and has all MR+ permissions

Senior High Ranks
Administrative Director (AD) → Director of operations, staffing, or communications
Administrative Overseer (AO) → Head of Council
Vice President (VP) → Seltzer’s Co-Owner & Overseer of Council
President (P) → Seltzer’s Owner & Overseer of Council


Rank Promotion Guide

Our staff team promotes members of Seltzers as we encourage them to start their Seltzer careers. Please keep in mind Seltzer does refrain from free ranking individuals and will refrain from promoting any individuals who hint at a promotion per our barista code of conduct.

Low Rank Promotions
Seltzer Customer, Noted Customer, Honour Member → Trainee | The individual must pass an application or an interview
Trainee → Junior Barista | The individual must pass a training
Junior Barista → Barista | The individual must pass a training
Barista → Senior Barista | The individual must pass a training or be promoted by a SV+ based off hard work & activity
Senior Barista → Head Barista | The individual be promoted by a SV+ based on hard work & activity

Middle Rank Promotions
Head Barista → Staff Intern | The individual must be recognized by a head of supervision or above and must be approved by a member of the staff management department
Staff Intern → Supervisor | The individual must successfully pass their internship
Supervisor → Assistant Manager | The individual must be recognized by an Executive Assistant+ and a mutual agreement must be made by another AM+
Assistant Manager → Manager | The individual must be recognized by an Executive Assistant+ and a mutual agreement must be made by another HR+

Middle Rank promotions will be made if they meet their weekly requirements and is based off their activity and dedication.

High Rank Promotions
Manager → Executive Assistant | The individual must be recognized by a CRO+ and must be approved by a member of council leadership
Executive Assistant → Chief Communications/Staff/Operations Officer | The individual must be recognized by their department co-lead or lead and must be approved by a member of council leadership
Chief Communications/Staff/Operations Officer → Executive Board | The individual must be recognized by council leadership, and council leadership will have to have a vote; majority rules

All Senior High Rank promotions are rare and will be based on position openings and administrative operations leadership.
