Shirt+Pants being cleared on studio reopen

I’ve imported player avatars and every time I close the studio, the avatar’s shirt and pants template property is completely cleared. They properly display until I reopen the game.

It doesn’t happen in other instances, just my game.

This started happening yesterday as well on my end. It’s rather inconsistent, but it usually happens when I try to copy and paste a character from one place to another.

I tried disabling all Studio Betas and Plug-ins, make a fresh new baseplate, but the issue still persists. To try to “fix” it we have to re-insert the shirt and pants texture ID, duplicate the model and re-open the place until it works.

EDIT: After some more testing - If you duplicate the model (with Ctrl+D), then close the game, the duplicated model will retain the clothing - but not the original one. It seems like when it has to preload a clothing asset, it won’t properly save. But after it’s fully loaded, further copies of the character will save normally.

Yeah this bug is really weird, i’m actually baffled that they managed to screw up studio that bad.

I added 178 uniforms to my game yesterday, now I have to re add every single one.

I’m also getting this bug constantly clearing my shirt/pants textures on multiple different projects.

My game is encountering this bug too, which several people have reported ingame. Given the recent controversies around avatar appearance, I really hope this gets fixed quickly. It’s very concerning to think about avatars being stripped of their clothes in the middle of my quests, as some players have already reported happening.

Yeah this is happening to a lot of people.

Happening to us as well, will try some solutions here but I’ve just been specifying the templates with scripts lmao
