Should I put my starter gui in the actual Startergui folder or in Replicated Storage?

Ive always done the first, but lately I’ve been seeing more and more of my friends put their Startergui in another folder other than the actual starter gui folder.
It might not had been Replicated Storage, though. Sorry.
They mentioned it was mostly because of performance improvements, and I was wondering, is it that much of a difference? Should I try and get used to doing the same? Do many of you do the same?
Thanks for the help, as I’m really bad at anything UI related!

I’m working on a very large, realistic game and I’ve talked with tens of if not hundreds of people on optimization. I haven’t heard much including GUI, and this is new info to me. I’d say keep developing the way you’re used to it until you get evidence it could improve performance, load times or optimization.

And in case your wondering, I make UI the same way you do (through StartGUI) and I still get ~200 FPS on the main map while using a menu that includes animations, so you should be completely fine unless someone else sends evidence proving me wrong.
