Upon attempting to join a private server on particular devices via the private-server link; some users are met with a 524 error, preventing them from joining or even entering the queue. One of my close-friends is being deeply impacted by this bug, being unable to join private servers of YouTubers.
Notes:
- The user has the “Who can make me a member of their private server” setting set to “Everyone”
- The user is 13+
- This issue is particular to certain devices / device-types; my friend is unable to join on their mobile device yet was previously able to join just fine while on their computer (they do not currently have access to their PC to confirm this is a case though)
- This is a long-standing issue and is unrelated to the current mass reports of a partial Roblox outage
- I am able to join via the same link that they are unable to; both of us are not friends with and are not following the private server owner
