Sometimes when stopping a test / tabbing back into studio, Ctrl+F breaks and types directly into the editor.
This can be very frustrating as you can accidentally create bugs.
The fix is generally to tab out, tab back in, click random scripts, open other script tabs. After doing this for 5-10 seconds it suddenly starts working again and you can press Ctrl+F instead of having it type into the editor.
It’s possible that when you stop a test the Ctrl modifier is stuck in some odd state, I’m not 100% sure. Has been an issue for a very long time.

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this. Just to clarify, when you hit Ctrl + F, it types the letter “F” in your Editor?

Does this happen for all of your place files? Does it repro on multiple machines? With multiple keyboards?

Just trying to see what might cause the Ctrl key to not function for a while…

Yes it types f in the editor, usually something is selected so that gets deleted as well. I have only noticed in the text editor
