Studio doesn't regain focus in 3D view when back from script editor

Reproduction Steps

Similar to New "Docking" version doesn't regain focus in Script Editor, but now it’s the opposite.

  1. Open a script
  2. Ctrl+Tab to go to 3D view

Expected Behavior

When it’s switched to 3D view, the focus should be set there.

Actual Behavior

The focus is not recovered when switched from script editor to 3D view:

Workaround

I have to manually click on the 3D view to recover the focus.

Issue Area: Studio
Issue Type: Other
Impact: Moderate
Frequency: Constantly

The focus has been acting weirdly for a while now. This issue happens to me, but it also occurs in some places in the Explorer view and some docking widgets, not just 3D space and input control focus.

Almost 2 months and this problem continues.
I use Ctrl+Tab a lot to cycle through the various scripts open within Studio.
But now, it’s been very annoying, every time I press Ctrl+Tab, I have to click the mouse into some part of the script so that focus is correctly placed on the script.
When will someone do something about it?

We have fixed the bug and you should no longer be encountering this problem.

Good to hear that it is solved, but the 3D viewport’s focus is still stolen by any search bar in sight since the docking update last year:

Bug reports such as this one have replies talking about it but as far as I know it has never gotten a report of its own, and the 3D viewport is still out of focus and is not considered the foreground.
