I received a free copy and here’s what I personally think about it (mostly about UX):
UI
I don’t know how to use the constraints manager properly (It just inserts AspectRatioConstraint, I expected it have like a context menu with the list of constraints)
Textures/Patterns could use some preview images with a more gallery view style, and also I don’t know why but the ImageTransparency on them is so high.
Alignment could use some interactive visuals, like arrows or a 3x3 grid to make it easier to find the one you need.
Icons… same as Textures/Patterns, could use more of a gallery view.
Building
World Assets could use more of a gallery view, like the one in roblox’s toolbox, also uhh… I found 2 assets with the same name and is identical.
Most of the textures are unnamed?
Scripting
Beautify and Minifier could use some work to separate the settings and the action button
I really like the Custom Script Header tool, as well as the Snippets. I don’t really see me using the other tools though.
VFX
Again, textures could use a gallery view
Datastore
ProfileStore and SDM could be added to the quick modules section
Warnings could maybe use the dedicated space more since it looks out of place
I would also suggest a way to access the tools via the explorer for selection-oriented tools, preferably a context action menu (the one that pops up when you right click)
Anyways this seems very useful, but I would say I can find the same results with a bunch of free plugins. I maybe would have gotten it for 5 dollars, but not 10.
Thank you for the feedback, Can you expand on what a Gallery view is so I can put that into development?
As for the constraints, I’ll work on an update.
But what they do is basically make UI scale size properly on all devices without it stretching the frame. The main addition to this is that you can edit it by simply resizing it which is not common in most auto-constraint adders. In the constraint update i will add text constraints and stuff like that and possibly a context menu like you suggested.
While yes there are features that can be found in free plugins, Studio+ facilitates both simple and complex features while also having unique resources. I will take your suggestion into consideration and possibly lower the price.
Sorry for the horrendously late reply, but gallery view is like the one you see in the toolbox, an image preview and a text below the image. Try googling it to see what i mean
Studio+ 2.0 sneaks
The screenshot displays the core Studio+ manager which allows you to manage your versions, mods, libraries, etc. ( essentially, studio+ will allow you to add libraries ( assets, ui elements, scripts, etc. ) and mods from the internet and create your own libraries and mods )
It will also have a top bar system which facilitates building, ui designing, etc. and makes your studio experience better.
On the bottom left you can see a HTTP Log of all pending requests being made, this can be disabled.
Give me any features you think i should add, I am also rewriting studio+ entirely for this.
yeah, it will support version management ( im still thinking on how ill go about this but, it isnt impossible at all )
you set the default version and then restart the place / studio
Studio+ Is license key / whitelist based so on the first init of it you have to put a license key
this is only prompted once then saved for later uses.
alright thats nice, wait so how did you add a key system to plugins, because thats something that takes alot of work and i find it hard to do unless you make it go to a database with HTTPS or something to search for it
well of course it can be removed but if you secure it well enough itll prove difficult to the average person. The plugin itself isnt that expensive and its just no point in using a cracked version if there ever comes to be one
