SurfaceAppearance Beta renders black and white color maps in neon colors

When the color map for a SurfaceAppearance is an image that is only black and white, it gets rendered in crazy yellow, green, and red colors. When you initially set the color map, it appears in the correct colors, but then a second later disappears off the mesh, and comes back in neon colors.

AlphaMode does not make a difference. FBX or OBJ does not make a difference.

Mesh made with blender, textures in photoshop.

Is this issue still occurring or can you confirm that this bug has been resolved?
