Testing an Enhanced Discover Page: Top Charts and New Sorts

This is great and all but can we at LEAST have the continue tab on top because I’m really getting tired of seeing things I have no interest in and have no way to opt out of already.

Hi Creators,

As announced, the genre selector in the Studio publishing flow and genre on the Experience Details Page has now been temporarily removed and replaced with a message that it is under development.

We’re working on an improved genre system with a more robust way to select genres later this year. Stay tuned for more details in an upcoming post where we will share more about the improvements and how they will benefit you. Thanks for your patience and please keep the feedback coming!

This update was awful and it only got worse as furthered the idea into what it is today. What’s the point of a games icon if it can’t be seen? Why can’t you just view games in order of popularity anymore. The games you can view on the “charts” tab are limited to like 20 games. This update makes little to no sense, it limits which games players can discover therefore reducing the amount of money you guys make.

Dividing games into genres is an outdated approach. Multiple tags should be used.

We are excited to announce that users can now filter the Charts page by country and device, with genre-based filtering coming early next year.

Let’s look at an example. If a user wants to see what’s trending on Roblox right now, they can go to the Charts page. If they are on their phone they’ll automatically see top-performing experiences among other phone users. Similarly, if they are on their computer, by default, they’ll see top-performing experiences among users on computers.

Additionally, if they want to see hyper-local content, they can use the country filter to see specifically what’s trending among phone users in Korea for example. This means the trending experiences shown on Charts are now much more relevant to users.

We’ve also heard from you that filters can be useful for research as a creator. Consider Chart filters as one more tool in your arsenal to understand what users like, track shifting trends, and study top-performing experiences.

We hope this inspires your next successful creation. Let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Roblox Discovery Team
