It might be confusing, but when you actually use it its easy.
How so? Provide an example of some sort.
Why? Just play it dude. It’s hard explaining while working on something.
Try searching “string” on the API and compare the explanation and presentation to your “engine”. I think that example will say enough.
I dont have the command “string” yet. Stop hating and start supporting if you wanna say anything…
This isn’t hating, this is valid criticism. I’m not here to make you feel bad or put you down, but I AM being honest here.
I, unfortunately, don’t want to support something that doesn’t help anybody. If you get other developers’ opinions, I’m sure it will be the same.
It actually does. Alot of people dont know what the Blog is, Making a plugin and a game to help people helps alot. Also explains it better then anything else does.
Do you have the opinions/experience of other developers you don’t know to back that up?
There’s 2m+ developers on this platform, obviously a lot dont know how to code.
So which of those developers (by name) would use your creation over the API docs?
Most of the developers that I know, know how to code. But im pretty sure alot of people out their dont.
Again, what you made offers no advantage to Roblox’s documentation. I would get some thoughts from developers you don’t know before claiming your creation would be the preferred documentation of use.
I can re-evaluate my critique once this becomes a sufficient tool, but for now, this won’t help new users. However, even if you made an entry for everything on the API, it still wouldn’t be sufficient.
An example of something that does offer many advantages over Roblox’s documentation is Lua Learning. This offers community-run tutorials, interactive quests, and much more.
Actually, someone said a few posts ago “Wow! This is a great plugin, man!”
“But for now”
This is faster.
V0.03 UPDATE!
- Added 2 new commands! (String, Variables)
- Fixed HTTPS Requests error! (Sorry about that!)
- The game now runs faster!
- Fixed lots of bugs!
I can’t seem to find that.
Not true.
Lua Learning:
Yours (took six clicks for the command to even work):
On top of that, your documentation is unreadable, indescriptive, and unintuitive to use. At this point, you’re just saying things that aren’t true, and when you’re not, you claim this is hate. This is getting nowhere.
Reality: It’s not worth your energy to continue this. I highly recommend re-approaching the idea with a different execution.
Its because you did not type in all capitals. 1.
Myn is faster. You just type it in and read, myn is also shorter.
Like 6 hours ago. Idk that was just a guess.
I checked all activity on your profile and that comment does not exist.
Shorter is not better. And, the “type and read” also applies to Lua Learning… and the Roblox API documentation.
Mind addressing the rest of my feedback?
Mind retrying the game and doing all capitals again? Reading it and telling me how fast it was?
I already did both and answered both. If you won’t answer my criticism, myself and everybody else here has every reason to believe this has no use.
I dont care what you think about this anymore. I like it the way it is, maybe you dont but I know damn well others would like it to. Leave me alone.
