The current behavior of the default chat's /w command is annoying. Can it be changed?

I find it rather annoying how /w or /whisper works.

When you initially type /w [username], you can hit backspace to erase letters in your message. However, if you’ve already sent a whisper beforehand, pressing backspace is changed to entirely remove your whisper tag, thus making your chat global again rather than fixing a mistake in writing.

This is very annoying in some instances because I can be typing something rather lengthy, and I have to hit backspace once and the entire whisper is removed. Perhaps we could go back to saying /a or /all, or on a less extreme have it so that it only erases the whisper tag when you hit backspace and have no text in the bar? MANY times have I found myself globally chatting something that I didn’t want to say globally.

The team chat get’s removed if you just hit backspace once…

I expect this is a bug, but I could be wrong. Regardless, the way it should work is that if you press backspace while the string is empty then it removes the special case.
