Back in 2019, Roblox uploaded the Dragonborn Fabergégg hat for the Egg Hunt 2019 event, although it was not properly sized like previous and most recent Fabergé eggs, covering your entire head, when the other Fabergé eggs would sit on top of a character’s head.
For comparison, here’s how it is currently sized, and how it should look be sized on the avatar’s head , with the Fabergés that came before and after Egg Hunt 2019 serving as references:
Just a heads up for an issue with size and adjustment on movement.
“you’ll be told to just use the accessory adjustment tool, where it stands now users from all over love the design choice of this item. Also the surpasses the 6 month point which means it won’t be fixed.”
However, there is no doubt that it needs to be fixed, but it will not be as you could just use the accessory tool to change it how you’d like.
Just to be clear on a point, I don’t disagree it does need to be fixed. But, only issue is as it’s older than 6 months it just won’t receive an update.
A quote by Roblox staff Klaugrana001 said to another post on the accessory tool:
However, won’t be updated but will expand more upon the accessory tool itself.
Thank you for flagging this and all the folks who chimed in with their thoughts. Unfortunately, we will not be making any updates to this Accessory. We agree it doesn’t rhyme with the sizing of the other eggs. However. while we weren’t here in 2019 when this was released, all signs point to this large size to be by design.
Also, we cannot go in and change the size of this egg so drastically, as it will affect everyone who owns this egg, and there may be people who like it in its current state.
Hey there! While I agree that it’s far too late to change the size of the egg, I’d be very interested in the signs which suggest the large size is by design. Could you please share them? Thank you!
There was ever only one version of the Accessory ever checked in, way back in 2019. If there was a size issue, it would’ve / should’ve been looked at in 2019, especially because this was a pretty important Accessory. I’d also imagine (and hope!) that whomever checked it in knew what they were doing, because the size and fit discrepancy between this and the other eggs that are smaller and sit on top of the head is so obvious. So both of these reasons lead me to believe that this was done on purpose.
Just because this wasn’t fixed back in 2019 doesn’t mean this was the artist’s intent. I think it’s important to consider the full context here.
Going by prizes, Egg Hunt 2019 was the biggest egg hunt at fifty-eight eggs! Someone importing nearly five dozen eggs might not have caught that this was the one exception out of the entire batch.
Every other Fabergé egg goes on top of the head resting on a stand. The Dragon Fabergégg has a stand of teal and gold, but it doesn’t really make sense in the context of a regular egg. None of the feet have anywhere to rest.
Most feedback players had at the time were directed at the shift from one huge adventure in a single game to a +40 game journey. There wasn’t much focus on the unusual size here, and as far as I remember it wasn’t reported in the original Catalog Errors thread.
If there’s still somehow any doubts, I could try to reach out to both the lead dev behind Egg Hunt 2019 and the 3D artist behind an earlier version of the EH’19 Fabergé to see what they have to say.
All this doesn’t really change much though - it’s been six years since this egg released and would be pretty jarring to suddenly change its fit all these years later. I’d love to see the Accessory Adjustment boundaries expanded enough to wear this atop your head! Right now there’s enough room to stand it on your shoulders, but there’s still a long way to go before you can wear it like the other Fabergé eggs.
