Hello, I have an issue with the Forcefield Instance, which is an instance that emits the Forcefield effect that you would normally see upon respawning from a SpawnLocation. I apologize if this topic is not in the right category, but it is something I wanted to address, because I was working with the Forcefield Instance recently.
I would like to see some new properties for them, including the ability to change the color, time scale, size, etc., just like how you can with the Fire, Smoke, and Sparkles Instances. Alongside, they are a bit bugged, if they are located within any BasePart not part of a Humanoid. Rather than being located at the BasePart’s position, it might be located at the middle of the map in any experience. I had to use a script to move them to Workspace and then back to the BasePart after a few seconds to prevent the bug from happening. I hope to see them get improved!
you can make custom forcefields by making them invisible then add a beam as a custom forcefield texture.
Not a bad idea, but then again, there are some instances that should have more properties
well ok, if you have regular role you can post that in #feature-requests:engine-features but atlease i solved your issue :smiel:
Yeah, I do not have Regular role though. Good idea to use!
wanted the original forcefield effect to attach to a characters limbs in a game because a free model’s character looked funny (spent a long time writing a script to automate rigging model)
nothing i tried to attach the forcefield to the character’s limbs & move with character, worked, wish that was a thing (which was suppose to have forcefields attached to it before i made it a actual movable character)
