After attempting to integrate this into my work-flow, I feel disappointed.
This feels like something that needs easily 6 more months of work before releasing.
I donât really like this update, it seems a bit bulky when everything on the old website was more compact.
Could we get an option to toggle a compact mode?
Yeah I know what you mean, the dev hub seemed more organized and it wasnât a mess.
Hello, thank you for this wonderful announcement and wonderful new UI!
I wanted to give some feedback however, since Iâm wondering why create.roblox.com/creations does not include the other tabs such as /docs.
It also appears it is missing an edit button to edit games immediately from the website itself, rather than having to open studio.
I understand this was only very recently launched, but these features I would consider essential and very much appreciated!
Wow, words canât describe my feelings, Iâm so excited to using the new Roblox site. Itâs gonna be so amazing and cool.
But, I have a few questions.
Will Docs Site be less lag than the original document site?
Because I went to it and found out it actually took like a few second longer to find information and tutorials.
Yeah, I kinda feel thatâs also a problem. Maybe Roblox can fix it and like what you said make an option for making it more compact?
Will this feature be readded? It helped make navigation very easy, feels like it should take the place of the second image as that seems pointless and intrusive.
It seems that RobloxScriptSecurity is not listed on any functions on specific pages such as UserGameSettings | Roblox Creator Documentation which could cause confusion.
Please include light mode for the site, dark mode hurts my eyes so much
I wanted to search for something like âTextWrappedâ and it gives me 4 results. And 3 of them didnât have anything about âTextWrappedâ if I CTRL + F and search for it.
Also, everything is on one page, which sometimes is just chaos.
Also, for now, itâs not fast itâs slow. Searching on Google and visiting https://developer.roblox.com/ still is working better than the current documentation in Beta.
If the old one is going to be removed while the new one still being in that state, then I wonât be happy with it.
The side bar on the right is extremely cursed and the field where itâs scrollable seems to magically flip between working and not working
I agree with a lot of the other criticisms posted here too
I would really love to see the ui interact with lightmode-darkmode according to the devices current setting.
I have my device automatically switch to light mode in the day, and dark mode at night as I find it helps me concentrate better, but I canât cope with dark mode in the day.
Please consider adding an auto-colour scheme setting, or at the minimum just a toggle switch like roblox studio has.
It seems lessons werenât learned from the original Developer Hub design and the feedback it gained; once again weâre being pointed to a replacement containing less information and plenty of wasted space. I donât want to have to scroll a thousand times just to reach an objectâs methods. Listing the components of a CFrame matrix should not take up almost the entire vertical space of my monitor.
As for less information, the new documentation site doesnât have most of the old siteâs explainer articles, the Instance Attributes article being chief among them; the API documentation doesnât tell you how to use Attributes, or what data types theyâre restricted to.
I donât understand why youâre throwing away another serviceable documentation site - the old old wiki was easier to navigate than the first version of the Developer Hub, even if it is somewhat dated now. History sure does like to rhyme.
Jesus, that old wiki was HIDEOUS. Iâm glad we got the current one, it looks infinitely better and is much easier to navigate, though I do agree the old accurate articles should cross over
The documentation on SocialService isnât correct
I really like the new Creator Documentation, feels a lot more snappier to use than the old DevHub and overall looks great.
Just a little nitpick though (when clicking on Download Studio):
Is roblox.com not owned or operated by Roblox?
oh god do you actually think like that? the devhub is infintely better than this new one, if your only comparing UI you probably didnt even read the posts here.
Am I the only one who prefers the older wiki?
The UI is honestly much worse in the newer one in my opinion. The older wiki had much more detailed UI and the newer UI is really hard to read and make out the border between things⌠the new UI just looks cheap and basic.
The old one was nice but the new one is just bleh in my opinion. Seems to be just me who thinks this thoâŚ
Isnât it funny how everyone totally freaked out about the talent hub when I loved it, but everyone loves this when I hate it.
DARK THEME! This is what Iâve been waiting for!
