Before reading this, please keep in mind that this model is not meant to be used as an in-game asset, it is meant to test the limits of Roblox. To all of you people, I apologize for the misunderstanding.
So a few days ago I decided to work on something for fun out of boredom, and I decided to challenge myself to an ultra-detailed model of a Bösendorfer Model 290 Imperial Concert Grand Piano, which is also considered to be a high-end piano.
However, the Bösendorfer Model 290 is also known for having an extra 9 keys at the bottom. It also has a warm and powerful tone!
Apart from being a 3D modeler, I am also a professional pianist, so I decided to sort of “put the two arts together” and create a stupidly realistic grand piano on Roblox with every part in-tact, and a model consisting of less than 200 parts.
3 days ago I said: “CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!”
Some may have wondered what the piano would look like without the Sheet Holder, so I made a small update and removed the Sheet Holder from the second piano.
It may be possible to cut down the tris drastically with efficient modelling.
Whilst the piano may not emit lag for some players, it could for others on low-end devices and it’s always good to slowly cut down the tri-count of a model where possible.
You truly captured the beauty of such a magnificent instrument. While I don’t know much of modeling I can just give you my opinion & I truly love what I see, well done!
