The Tix vision is the only face that was updated out of it’s predecessor’s classic original look, and it should be reverted back to it’s original look rather than just being different out of the rest. This might be a “controversial” idea, but I think changing it back to follow the rest of the series would be a great idea rather than just being totally different than the others.
(Epic Face)
(Epic Vampire Face)
(ROBLOX Madness Face)
These are all of the epic face series that follow each other, expect for the Tix Vision, it should be using the classic look that it was given in 2016 instead of the new modern look (because not everyone likes it).
This is what the face uses as of currently, and should be changed to match the rest and to follow what it was intended to be rather than what it’s not. (Classic is a better look, than the new modern standard).
Expected behavior
The Tix Vision should follow the rest of the series along with the rest of the epic faces, rather than switching to a new look which isn’t it’s original design.
It should be switched back to this old classic look, rather than the new updated one.
It would seem like the more popular, and better choice to go back and revert the new change and give it it’s old look back.
If Tix Vision is not following the original mouth, so Epic Vampire Face, right? We can notice that the eyes and mouth are not stylized in the original face meme.
I actually heavily agree with this thread, I think until we receive confirmation from staff that this is truly a “design choice” I am open to any changes done, I think right now this currently looks the worst compared to the other renditions in the series
It could be, and honestly they had it the original way in 2016, then changed it for who knows why. The old is and was better than what it currently looks like.
This item was originally created and sold during the ‘Tixapolooza’ sale event. It went on sale on March 25th, 2016, and went off sale on April 14th, 2016 when the Tix were removed from Roblox. During this time period, the face retained it’s original appearance that was in line with the well known Epic Face face.
On January 20th, 2017, Roblox updated the face with a significantly different appearance. The entire design, including the proportions, colors, and mouth shape of the face were completely changed over 8 months after the item went off sale.
FYI, I don’t own this item, but I think it’s unfair that the face was so significantly changed months after it’s limited time release. I think that restoring it’s original appearance would be a good move on Roblox’s part, given that it has never returned on sale after it’s original look was changed, and because the entire appeal of the item during it’s original sale was that it was a slightly modified version of the classic Epic Face.
Such a confusing update. Wouldn’t think this is a rights issue, since none of the other faces were changed, and Roblox used the original Epic Face design for their Series 1 toys later that year. If this was meant to clean up the face, why not use the hi-res tix textures used in other Tixapalooza items? Why change the color and shape of the mouth?
Even if the original design isn’t restored, I’d love to know why Roblox changed it in the first place.
Honestly, they should look into changing this back to it’s original design. This new one that we have now is good, but could be better with it’s first design of creation. But who knows why Roblox does what they do, why they change anything without saying anything.
I hope they’ll provide a good answer rather than “this is the intentional design choice of the item”.
Well, there it goes closed without a single response, so who knows why and the staff don’t have time to write out something simple. Well, time to move on. Smh
Hopefully Roblox takes another look at this, unfortunately they closed this specific report without any reply beyond the acknowledgement. The team handling reports recently has replied to many of these posts saying they will no longer make aesthetic changes to old catalog items, so I’d think that reverting this item to it’s original state would be very much in line with that idea.
Probably they just cant be bothered, no response, this team all of a sudden stopped replying
ever since the workclock incident the replies have been a lot more quiet
As someone who actually owns and uses the face pretty often, I prefer the new design of the face. Looking back at the old design, it looks pretty bad now.
The eyes could atleast be centered along with the mouth (which isn’t in proportion either.) Even if you like the new design you can tell this item has been completely neglected and left looking like a knockoff UGC item
Honestly the only thing wrong is that the tix logo they used doesn’t match the tix logo of the time, it just doesn’t match the aesthetic, the face is alright to be fair with it all
to be fair it’s most definitely intended and not a bug, people use this category to create passive aggressive feature requests for catalog assets rather than reporting “issues” with said assets
if you want this you’re better off making a feature request
