UGC Accessory Items Not Restored After Successful Appeal via Appeals Portal

I am experiencing an issue where UGC (User Generated Content) accessory items, after being accepted through the Appeals Portal, are never restored. The expected behavior is that these assets should be restored to my inventory and available for sale once the appeal is accepted, but they are not appearing at all.

This issue affects multiple items, and I believe it may be affecting other creators as well. Since this is happening via the Appeals Portal, I wanted to report this bug and bring it to the attention of the Roblox team for further investigation.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Submit an appeal through the Appeals Portal for a UGC accessory item.
  2. Once the appeal is accepted, check for the restoration of the item in your inventory.
  3. The item is not restored at all, despite the appeal being accepted.

Expected Result:
The UGC accessory item should be restored to my inventory and be available for sale as soon as the appeal is accepted.

Actual Result:
The item is never restored, even after the appeal is accepted, leaving it unavailable for sale and inaccessible.

I would appreciate it if the team could look into this issue and provide a fix as soon as possible. Thank you!

Thanks for reporting this issue. We’ve verified that item 137453534301335 was approved by a moderator during the appeal review, but our system detected that it violated UGC validation rules. As a result, the system automatically prevented restoration of the item and sent a private system message to the creator explaining the prevention. We’re working on a solution to improve the flow and standardize decision communication. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Their item should not be restored, it is clearly a copy of a Roblox face that already exists on the platform Super Super Happy Face - Roblox

They are violating the platform’s TOS and Roblox IP by submitting this item and trying to take advantage of the appeal system knowing that their item was moderated correctly.

In order not to drift too far from the incident, I want to address a few things here.

First of all, I created the bug report thinking that it might also affect other creators; otherwise, I’m already alright with the item not being restored. I just didn’t want this to be experienced by others, that’s all.

Also, they already pointed out in the reply above that it violated the rules, but thank you for your reply anyway. I just think my concern was misunderstood.

Looks like OP has a huge history of uploading stolen clothing + direct copies of existing faces

I think they’re trying to appeal the asset because only one got removed. Clearly the mods forgot the rest of the face clones by mistake which led OP into thinking there was some sort of bug here.

I’m experiencing this same issue with classic clothing. My clothes are being accepted in the appeal but are still showing up as moderated instead of being reinstated properly. They get accepted immediately after reuploading though, so that’s a workaround for the time being.

The group in question should be locked IMMEDIATELY considering this is a huge violation of the ugc terms of service and should be delt with strictly, the audacity to make a post that your items are getting deleted while theyre clearly breaking the tos is unacceptable…

That’s a different situation because they’re not restoring the classic clothing itself, but instead just its image. This allows the clothing to pass moderation if you try to create classic clothing with the same image. You can’t use the Appeals Portal for classic clothing, but I had shared this as a suggestion with Roblox months ago. Instead, you’ll need to contact Roblox support.

Hello, I’m sorry to hear about your experience on Roblox, but if you need to report anything you believe violates the rules, please refer to this article: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/203312410-How-to-Report-Rule-Violations to do so. Your efforts to keep Roblox safe are appreciated and further supported.

I tried following that guide. To this day, the pornographic decals I reported several times over the past 5ish years are still up.

Note: And now I cannot report the content despite it still being up because this guide was inaccurate since creation + is also clearly outdated even now.

I don’t know which assets you’re referring to, and I also wouldn’t want you to share them here because it’s very off-topic. Please don’t reply further unless you have something to add to this bug report.

However, that article explains how to report content to Roblox and details various reporting channels you can use. Also, you can report content, so I didn’t understand your note about how you “cannot” report. I hope you’ll actually check the article and navigate through it properly from there. Have a good day.
