UGC Model Lighting Rendering Bug

Eyes are rendering a bit funny for some reason. I assume this is a lighting issue. However, the eyes are the same as the rest of the model so I’m not sure what’s happening.


This screenshot was provided by someone else however I’ve also experienced my UGC eyes randomly turn dark. I’ve noticed other parts randomly turning dark on some UGC models too.

Not sure how helpful this is but I remember playing Prison Life and the eyes became abnormally darker during night time, and back to normal at day. The whole time I was standing inside a well lit building.

Why are you being rude? Bug reporting improves Roblox for everyone.

There isn’t “nothing” for staff to go off of I clearly described the situation. So what if I didn’t think about linking the item? It didn’t come across my mind and it’s really not that deep. You can suggest it nicely but you choosing to be rude for no reason is astonishing. I don’t say “Roblox fix your rendering engine no one can play :folded_hands::face_vomiting:” Be considerate this next time you post @raskolibov

From what I’ve seen, some accessories use odd mesh behaviour to get certain lighting results, so this very much could be a problem of the accessory creator using odd mesh behaviour to get certain lighting results which are broken in certain cases, and given that’s the case, this probably isn’t a problem roblox is capable of fixing, also, with no repo file, it’s going to be rather difficult actually knowing what the problem is.

I’ve figured it out. It occurs when Roblox lowers the resolution of the texture.

The other pixels are bleeding in when the texture lowers in resolution.

This is more noticeable when I move back. (Left character has low resolution accessory texture)
