There are currently two Roblox features I am unable to access. Originally I thought the issue was A/B testing and I wasn’t part of the groups these features were being tested with, however after asking, it seems I need to make a bug report.
I am unable to turn on face motion capture in communication settings on my account (there is no option to enable it). This has been ongoing for several months.
I am unable to change the genre of any of my games, there is no options shown below the game description. This is true across all of my games whether they are owned by my account or my groups.
The first issue has been ongoing for months but the second appeared when that feature went live a few days ago which prompted me to start asking since I’d assumed the previous feature was an a/b testing issue. It seems this possibly isn’t the case.
If it does turn out this issue is simply that my account has not yet been given access, can I please request access to these two features? My game uses face capture and I would like to be able to use and test it as players see it. For access to genre, my most popular game’s genre was listed as N/A, and I need to update it.
The genre feature should have already been rolled out for all users I have the feature I think it might be taking longer I’m not sure have you tried sending a report on roblox.support?
I am having the same issue. On any device I try, I am unable to use facial tracking. Along with this, I also still have no options to disable personalized ads or anything in that category. Other accounts I have, most of which are years newer than my main, have both of these features with no verified email or phone numbers. It has been well over a year since facial tracking came out, and since I have access to voice chat, I would like to have these features as well.
I am now able to update the genre of my games! I still cannot access face capture or banning people from groups. So one out of three, we’ve made some progress!
I’m also experiencing this bug. I cannot access the voice or camera settings. Although it’s been fourteen days since the last reply, this bug is still worth looking into.
Thanks to @BlocksBoiii from the Roblox staff, I learned that I cannot access these features due to temporary regional restrictions. Unfortunately, I do not live in a potentially restricted region, or visited one before this bug began. I also cannot purchase Robux from the website. Attempting to purchase Robux results in a ‘Regional Restrictions’ warning, and it becomes impossible to continue.
This is identical to a bug many users are facing in this help-and-feedback thread: Parental Controls Randomly Enabling. In this thread, it is assumed that unwanted restrictions were accidentally placed on random users. I’m assuming this bug is impacting a lot more users than what has been reported, as it only becomes obvious when someone attempts to use a restricted feature.
Just posting an update: I can now use the camera motion tracking feature and change the genre of my games. I am still unable to use the ban from group feature.
