Unable to publish audio assets to creator store

I am unable to publish audio assets to the creator store. Ive been verified (ID verified) and the website believes I am able to publish assets to the creator store.

Any help over this matter is truly appreciated

Expected behavior

I should be able to upload my assets not only to Roblox, but into the creator store

Page URL: https://create.roblox.com/dashboard/creations?activeTab=Audio

also, have some candy for halloween
:candy::lollipop::strawberry::dango::candy:

Else the audio is over 10 seconds, or it was rejected for distribution cause it was marked as “Music” instead of “Sound Effect”, it isn’t a bug.

As @CryBlania helpfully mentioned, audio must be under 10 seconds to be classified as a “Sound Effect” and be user-distributable.

Please see the following DevForum post for more information.

If, however, this uploaded audio is under 10 seconds, please let us know and we will investigate further.

Most of my audios are under 10 seconds. Here is a list:

In recent days, when I checked the configure page, on my end it was the other way around; it claimed that my audio assets were eligible for distribution even if they were longer than 10 seconds, but I was unable to determine whether it worked because I do not yet plan to become ID verified.

Maybe it would be best for you to attach the sound effects you’re trying to upload to this thread?

Sure, heres the list:
(newest to oldest that I am trying to publish)

I’ve meant audio files, not links  .

Hi @Champlistic,

I listened to your audio files and they all have musical chimes in them. This means they are classified as music and are ineligible for public distribution on the creator store.

Sorry for the late response, I was busy with stuff irl

Here are most of the audio files

Ill add more once I can dig the rest out of my PC.

I do agree that my audios do contain musical chimes In them and that it is therefore not distributable on the platform.

But upon noticing other users successfully uploading musical chimes to the creator store. I am quite confused as to what makes mine not acceptable:

Also, not all of my audios contain musical chimes, and for these audios I am also unable to distribute:

Any audio tagged as music isn’t eligible for distribution to the catalog store. So if you see e.g. this:

It means that you’re not allowed to distribute that as a sound effect.

Most of those assets were uploaded in 2021-2022 which was before we updated the system for public sound effects in March this year. We now require the extra sfx check before allowing distribution as Blanka mentioned above.

https://create.roblox.com/store/asset/17514074119/Russian-Metro-UPPS-chime-sound-variant-2?keyword=metro%2Bchime&pageNumber=1&pagePosition=1 is the only one that was uploaded after the public sfx launch. I think this one is less musical as it is three descending tones. The system to check for sfx is not perfect but the main thing we are trying to do is encourage uploads of non-musical sound effects. This unfortunately means we block distribution of sound effects that have musical elements in them. You can still upload these assets privately to use in your own or your group’s experiences.

The Smallville Announcement audio does not contain music but contains a voice which is borderline since music can contain vocal elements. If you reduce the echo to make is sound more like a regular person talking it may work. You can add back in the echo with our dynamic audio effects Dynamic Effects | Documentation - Roblox Creator Hub

I see. Thank you for clarifying.
