Previously you could hover over this menu and use the scrollwheel to change the device while play solo was active even tho the list was locked. This was very useful for testing a specific gameplay scenario or UI on a wide range of devices. In the most recent studio update, this was fixed and can no longer be changed during play solo. This is a huge inconvenience as it can take a minute or two to get to the in-game scenario I want to test and now I have to repeat this for every device I want to test
Make it so I can change the device while play solo is running. There were no issues with this before, there is no reason this should be disabled
What makes me hate this “bug fix” even more is there’s STILL a bug where setting resolution that matches your monitor resolution forcefully fullscreens the viewport with no way to unfullscreen this other than change device type or changing it from actual resolution to fit to window or physical size.
The video of this happening:
Hi I wane start by saying I am sorry that the bug report I made caused inconvenience to people. My intentions wasn’t to do so. I was just wondering why it was possible to change device type if its grayed out during playtest.
I think the reason it was grayed out originally, was to stop people from changing device type during playtest, because it could perhaps cause some issues, or that doing so could break the game(IDK). I feel it would perhaps be better to make a feature request asking for a proper and safe way to change device type during playtesting.
