When searching “Christmas,” there should be many audios related to the theme with semantic search; however, most of the results are not.

This doesn’t seem like a Roblox Studio issue. If you go to Creator Store and you try to look it up from their you get the same results pretty much as seen in this screenshot. Maybe Roblox just doesn’t have Christmas music?
Roblox does have many soundtracks related to Christmas; they are just not displayed when the term is searched. To test this, you can use related terms like Xmas and Santa, which provide several results that should appear when Christmas is searched.

Thanks for your report. Looking into this issue, these results come from the older tagging system having assigned them a low weight but still present Christmas related tag and since these are very popular songs their rank ends up higher than expected. We are working to deprecate this tag system, please see this post for more details.
For now, as you noted, audio search works best by being as descriptive as possible with your query. Depending on what you are looking for, trying a few queries to narrow it down can help, for example:
