I started working on this about 2 months ago with simply making separate buildings that were similar styles and decided to attempt a full showcase build, coming up with the concept in a week’s time. I left it on the back-burner for a month now, and I’m just at a loss with what to do with it. I believe it has potential, but unsure what potential.
Also, if people could recommend different types of architectural styles that’d fit the build, that’d be very helpful. Currently most of the buildings are inspired by Victorian architecture/ historic districts in towns and cities. A big inspiration has been San Francisco.
For more information on the showcase:
(I recommend reading the original post of the thread linked above before visiting and posting, as it provides more vital information on whats being attempted as well as things I know are problems.)
This building is very impressive! You got some real skill in building, and might profit a lot from taking building commissions from people.
For the direction to go, I can easily see you making a really impressive small city with this consistent style, or you could practise other arcitechtures for example modern, sleek houses, or have a showcase where theres a transition through several architectural styles for example starting with medieval and working up to modern and sleek buildings.
I agree with what Phini said, this is impressive. I’m amazed.
If you want to try new styles you can definitely have a go at modern as others suggested, or maybe a Sci-Fi-like building as another showcase, I think you’d do great at it.
I agree with what you have said, he has potential and could do a lot with commissions and should try to do more modern builds at the same time should try to add a bit more detail to the ground also.
Even though I’m all for input, simply saying you agree with a single poster on the thread isn’t fostering your own ideas. If you agree with a single poster’s ideas, I recommend simply liking their post.
