You don’t have enough arguments about this, why are you even talking about this? Do you even design to talk about this? Not saying that developers don’t have opinions, but if you get a better argument please let us know, clothing designers was made to dress another characters, not to have to work hard to get 100 robux to upload something then charge it to 5 robux and get 3 robux per 3 days or a week.
They can change the price at any given time. There most-likely not going to charge 100 robux.
Agreed. I am just explaining why they think this, it is not full speculating.
Right- I completely become useless now, Imma go dismissing owning clothing group now. Why don’t roblox just make captcha before upload shirt/pants/t-shirt instead of using pay to upload now, that’s would preventing that bot thing.
I know this update is for stop botted clothing BUT this is more onto treating small clothing designer badly and horribly rather than stopping botted clothing issues.*
First update is pending robux which is pretty stressful for designer to receive their funds or income, and now roblox is looking forward to update pay to upload for it now!!! What in the world… Small clothing designer barely get 15 - 50 robux, I rarely only get that for one month for that 15 - 50 robux Yes one month I just said it
It’s win - lost - critical
Roblox win - Botted clothing lost - Clothing group critical
I’m well aware of the cost. 100 robux is about 2 CAN dollars. Plus we can change it in studio before we upload. I understand the price might effect people but it’s not like it’s 2000 robux. It could be worse
I honestly hate this update, as a small designer I can’t even make 100 a day, and since I upload tons a day it’s honestly hard for me. Roblox is being very greedy at this point, you already need premium, what more do you want. You will eventually be left with nothing, all original clothing creators will be gone, just think about what you’re doing. Also you people who like this update, maybe try not be so selfish and think about other struggling designers who are trying their best and who can barely make 100 a week.
They said they were adding a testing feature for shirts in roblox studio… Dont know if you caught onto that
LEGENDARIO I must say…
All those devs have now gotten a chance!
Great, but what if you’re poor lmao.
The fee will overtake the cost of buying premium (probably intentional) when designers upload their clothing.
I ain’t paying 300 robux to upload a 2 robux t-shirt just for it to get 3 sales.
I have no doubt that clothing botting makes people hundreds of thousands of dollars, a cutesy fee ain’t gonna stop them. But it’s gonna stop that 9 year old kid who wants to make their own custom outfit or that struggling 16 year old designer.
5 USD is MUCH cheaper then having to do 100 robux per clothes. Put it this way, 5 dollars can buy you 400 robux.
Please make it so if you have premium you don’t pay the fee. Like you guys are removing a lot of features from premium, it would just make sense not to get premium at one point.
The price is not yet confirmed, that is from an accidental release.
I know right. Like a Verification System that scans the Whole Catalog and checks if this is copied clothing and everything. Something like that would be a great update but clearly some people want to make roblox a harder place to upload and make games and everything as well have fun.
The 100+ would work for that. Also the poll was more for what it should be, not what it is going to be.
How do you find the original? False positives? Negative-positives? Magic isn’t real. It probably can be done, but there’s so much uploaded already that it will be impossible to find the ‘original’ asset.
I would love to see things like when a player uploads more than a certain amount of clothing, he will get a discount or he will get to upload more for free or something. This would be a great change.
The Upload Dates on the Assets as a Example. The System could find which the orinigal asset is by the upload dates and could take it down and send them a message and correct there mistake like the DevForum.
Upload dates would work, but Roblox would need either the staffing power or some sort of AI image processing to do it. Both cost a lot of money.
Good to point out that the unseen area of a clothing template can be altered in order to bypass said system, per example:
This could work out great. But clothing designing on Roblox is already very difficult. Putting a paywall to even upload the clothing is kind of outrageous. How will people just starting clothing designing on Roblox be able to pay a fee to even have their item on the catalog? This is like making the rich even richer and letting the starters be left dry.
