I quickly released around 236 clothes this month, just because of this update.
And since 50 x 236 = 11800, that means I saved over 100 USD just because I released clothings in the past instead of now!
I believe this shows how terrible this update is.
At least I can retire in peace because I have a lot of clothes in my store.

At first, I thought this was update would be enjoyable, but I was very wrong. This update really cuts off a lot of starter creators because they can’t afford to keep making clothes and clothes. Even if the fee was 
50, most designers just buy premium which saves you around 50 dollars if you made 50 dollars per month, and not only that, its free to upload as much clothing as you want.
This update is really a bad thing to your artist community, and after all the complaints and warnings you got of this, you just cut the fee by half. Many people agree that this is a horrible update, and clothing designing should be reverted to its original state.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we’ll have to pay Robux to publish a game in the future.

I strongly disagree with this change as this will only hurt real clothing designers and those trying to start out if they have to pay 50 Robux per each asset they upload when they’re not even getting revenue back to afford such expenses this very discouraging and will not affect nor slowdown bots in any form or way since of course they make millions of Robux per today off the front page.

You are ruining the community that spend so much time making clothing and putting it up and now you want to charge a fee for the first time after 14 years? It’s like you are money hungry for more profits. No offense but this is total worse update I’ve seen.
I agree with this. Roblox could have done this, or something near this, but then again this is ROBLOX, so they decided to rip off the clothing designers. Not to mention, premium users, as this is the what, 5th time roblox took something off of premium and made it available for everyone, but behind a paywall.
You already take 30% from the clothing designers and now you want to take more with a fee to upload?
I selected “why does it cost 50 robux?” because I still feel like there is a disadvantage to premium members. I wasn’t sure whether to select “why does it cost 50 robux?” or “why are premium members not exempt?” because though I agree premium members deserve better, they shouldn’t have it completely free or almost free. I’m not sure whether you referred to “exempt” as free or discounted, so I just wanted to clarify. The main goal for roblox to add this fee is to remove clothing bots. The bots already had roblox premium to begin with. This doesn’t do any effect to these clothing botters. Instead, premium members should get some sort of discount. This way, those bots will have to pay for robux AND roblox premium. Yes, there are some contradictories. Many scam bots have made millions off of these businesses. Roblox has such a strict moderation system for clothing, icons, etc, right? Why don’t we just lock those groups and ip ban those scam bots? This would reduce the amount of robux these bots earn. Once again, just my opinion.

Exactly what I have been saying, this is going to DEVASTATE the ROBLOX clothing industry and the fact of the matter is, it’s not going to solve anything! These bots will put Robux on the accounts to pay. This is honestly the dumbest thing ROBLOX has ever done, the ROBLOX development team gets more idiotic by the day. Good job ROBLOX, great job, you are KILLING the clothing business on your platform.

I’m going to be honest, i know everyone is going to jump at me for saying this, but i feel like this change is more beneficial for clothing designers, it allows them to be able to upload the clothing whenever they can instead of being forced to either upload it all on one month (wich can lead to rushing, which you really want to avoid), or buy more premium because they didn’t upload it in time.
With the new 50R$ price however, you can simply spend the same money you normally would, and be able to upload 8 pieces of clothing whenever you wish to, so you can take however much time you want on making your designs without having to worry about your premium running out and not releasing them on time.
Also incase anyone’s curious, here are the robux buying options along with how much pieces of clothing you’ll be able to upload (without counting the benefits these will give you)
Only real complaint i have with this is that it makes premium even more useless than it already is, some sort of discount for premium users would be nice because right now there is close to no point in buying premium, games that benefit you from having it are clsoe to nonexistant and there isn’t many useful features to make it worth buying
PD: Everytime i mention prices i’m talking about the prices on my end, yours might vary, really doubt it’ll change to the point of completely invalidating my point though

Exactly, so many people are arguing very valid points on how it will not work. @Roblox you’re pushing UGC and pushing for creators to run this platform, so why aren’t you listening to us? Don’t expect me as a creator to run your platform when you won’t listen to my voice, that’s total bogus. I will move on to another platform if I am not being listened to.

This is not true for anyone except the biggest designers. I suggest you take a look at statistics and really research before you post. As a group owner I only make around 200-500 robux a week with my 2.5k member group. We are only a couple months old and are making our start. I just put over 200k into a new homestore and other things to make our V2, I cannot afford to pay 500 robux everyday to upload our clothing. This is the case for ANYONE starting off. Who can afford that? This feature won’t even stop bots in the first place! They will program their bot around whatever there is and make it pay the fee after putting their stolen robux on the account. They have proven bots can buy things, ever heard of a limited sniper? This feature is ONLY going to hurt the platform, it would be nice if roblox listened to us and took into consideration what we were saying, but yet again, we are ignored. Thanks roblox, great way to thank us for making the platform as big as it is today, great job.

i’m late to this conversation but, i feel like this is only to benefit bigger groups or already established designers as most of us can make up what we payed for but at this point it’s just triggering as last time i stated you aren’t really preventing copy just putting a barrier for smaller designers as bots already paid for premium just to mass upload. they would just do the same expect you make more money of this update.

So true, it won’t solve the bot/spam issues and it will just make it harder for new clothing groups. This will only hurt everyone, a week after the release the spam will be back. They need to add a captcha or a cooldown, not a fee.
