Still thinking that the first time the item is put on sale is very broad, I think we are implying that it is only for t-shirts because it’s on the same line, but it could be for regular items too.
No where does it state there is a 50 R$ fee to put shirts and pants on sale.
It’s on the same line because it’s for t-shirts.
It says 50R$ to put the item on sale. Using context clues we can infer that the item refers to the t-shirt.
Could you clear up whether it is for just t-shirts or not for the put-on-sale fee? Because item is very broad.
I am not a huge fan of this, it is only beneficial for already big clothing groups since those make enough profit already, but if you are new to Roblox and want to start your own clothing group you now can’t buy Premium for £4.59 which allows you to upload unlimited clothing and rather have to pay £4.59
to purchase 400R$ which allows you to upload four pieces of clothing. This system is not good for new clothing creators or small ones. To make it easier to earn profits the Roblox tax should also be decreased.
Why not merge all botted copies of an asset into the earliest iteration of it?
Shirts/pants: 50 Robux to upload, free to put onsale
T-Shirts: Free to upload, 50 Robux to put onsale (one time fee)
How can they tell which shirt is a copy and which is slightly modified? Why haven’t they just done that already?
They have asset hashes, and even if some copies are slightly modified, it would still clean the catalog up pretty well.
Don’t ask me, ask them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I don’t like the sound of this, For one existing botters have probably already made a gargantuous amount of money off their schemes, more than likely enough to continue the things they do. And R$50 is not as cheap as people think just to upload one shirt especially to small designers and people uploading stuff for fun or personal use. If you do upload something considering the similarities to audio uploading i assume if you upload something that roblox detects is just enough to warrant a warning - deletion i assume you wont be paid back. A better solution is to just make the templates private (which i dont know how possible that is) the cons undoubtedly outweigh the pros.
lol bye have you seen the rest of the comments
because roblox moderation sucks
They’ve made a lot of bad choices recently. This one may be one of the worst.
I am not gonna let my opinion be influenced by the opinions of “the rest”, as what I have previously read from these comments, really was not convincing enough to make me switch sides. I stand by my opinion, and will let you and everyone else convince me otherwise, but saying “lol Bye”, is not really gonna do the trick
It may not seem high at first, but it all adds up. We’re talking 100 robux for a full outfit. I’ve quoted a previous comment of mine which breakdowns how difficult it will be for small designers to profit from this.
I think roblox raising the minimum price would make the community rage even more than they are doing now. What they are really trying to do, is probably to make the community gradually increase the prices themselves to accommodate these new changes they are making.
Couldn’t you just keep your premium membership?
Weren’t they technically already buying robux every month to upload anyway?
Without Roblox rising the price for us, it will be extremely difficult to normalise a new price. I don’t think that’s their motives. As for buying a premium membership, depending on your plan, you could only upload a certain amount of clothing, so you are limited. Like I mentioned though, this isn’t just about how they get the Robux to pay it; it’s how they will struggle to make profit because of the large fee, tax, and small price per design. I’m all for Roblox giving non-premium users the design ability, as I think all users should be able to express their creativity without having to pay their way to get there. However, the botting issue needed fixing first, and I don’t think this is it, considering many botters already own a lot of Robux already from before the fee, which can be used, therefore carrying the cycle on.
Right now Roblox is in this state
I wish Roblox should double think there decision about this update. Bcz it’s not to late before are community talented developers leave this platform. Including myself
that meme got me good XD it’s just unfortunate how true it is
if you’re not a clothing designer then yes, bye. you don’t get an opinion because you’re not part of the community affected. <3
It’s really sad to see how much of a disregard Roblox has for it’s community in a situation like this. With some of what I’ve been seeing lately (not trying to sound paranoid here), I believe that Roblox is trying to phase out it’s clothing designer community to “make way” for 3D clothing. I get that 2D clothing is still going to “stay around”, but it seems like they’re trying to make it harder to be a designer.
Anyway, sad day all the way around.
