Update on Verified Badges

The only way to get verified through content creation on platforms such as youtube would be to apply to become a video star creator, get accepted, and then request verification through their exclusive support.

Did group owners got skipped again ? What is going on ?

Looks like it. :person_shrugging:
Not surprising considering group owners are considered game contributors for some reason.

Then why they said Badges for group owners will continue to be issued.

As you can probably guess, it hasn’t happened yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They probably meant for the UGC groups, and I’m not by any means a Roblox insider to know what’s going on there, so I can’t really answer that specific question.

I hope we don’t have to wait until next month for the accounts and that there will be an second wave because this has really dragged on. It would be nice if Roblox made a announcement. It seems like this situation has been forgotten.

Group owners of both games and UGC have been skipped once again- hopefully this will change next month.

Once again, Roblox seems to be neglecting this entire system.

Roblox has stated:
“Badges for group owners will continue to be issued.”

Yet, zero badges have been granted for individuals who own groups that qualify.

Group Owners are distinctly different from Group Contributors.

Contributors not receiving checkmarks is an understandable change, as the system was broadly abused. There is no reason to restrict Group Owner accounts from receiving checkmarks, as the risk level is significantly lower. In order for this system to be abused, users would need to transfer ownership of their entire eligible group which is exceedingly unlikely to happen.

As per the previously released statement, the intended behavior would be to verify the eligible group, and the user account that owns the eligible group, not just the group.

Can someone with contact to the right people get this fixed?

Hello, I noticed that Roblox_RTC and RBXNews_ on Twitter have received verified badges. Given that verification seems to require either 100K+ followers on a major social media platform (Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube) or 100K+ monthly listeners on Spotify, how do we verify our ownership of a social media account?

I know plenty of YouTubers and TikTokers with over 500K followers who struggle to get verified on Roblox and some even create a game just to earn the verified badge, which appears to be the only option.

As a TikToker myself with over 600K followers and 100K subscribers on YouTube, it’s challenging to find time to make a game and even reach 1M playtime hours.

Additionally, joining the Star Creator Program isn’t feasible for me, since in my country (Indonesia) we are not yet eligible for the program. I need the verified badge because many people are impersonating me, which is concerning.

Could someone please provide guidance on how to verify my ownership of social media accounts?

I have the 1M+ MAU Black Iron Crown of O’s, but since my game is on the group, I am not verified :frowning:

I second this.

I have far exceeded the Social Media requirements for verification for a very long time via YouTube and I have not been verified under the social media umbrella either.

To my knowledge, there is not even a channel of communication/form for creators (who are not star creators) to request verification.

This badge means a lot to us, it was one of my biggest motivation, i wanted to create the perfect lifting simulator game, i knew the community would love it and they did, we got from 200-300 active players to 5k-7k in only 2 weeks without paying any ads. That happened in october 2024 we quickly had enough playtime for the verified badge requirements and we should be verified since november 2024. We’re in march 2025, my game will soon loose the required playtime, still no badges on our profiles. We don’t care if we have to wait 6 months we will wait but when you’ll continue to award badges to the owners and contributors profiles, please don’t skip the people who where eligible during the pause, we deserve this badge and getting skipped after waiting for months would be really demotivating.

Roblox intends not to verify social media influencers that aren’t in the Star Program unless you have a Partnership with Roblox in some way. Nobody has ever been verified solely for Social Media requirements [once again with exception of Star Creators].

Yeah. I noticed that’s how it was.

On the help page, it does say:
“100K+ followers on at least one major social media platform” OR “part of our Video Stars program”

…which is misleading to people who are unfamiliar with the Verified Badge program.

It should clarify that you must be part of the Stars Program to request verification as an influencer.

i think it’s because you also need 10k followers

You should be fine, if you have already reached the requirements (as your group has been verified) I see no issue. Just wait patiently and you should receive it

New month, new wave. Good luck to everyone waiting on their checkmark in the coming weeks!

I think it won’t be given unless Roblox makes an announcement.

Waiting patiently … Hopefully by this week

I would try connecting your social media account (the one that meet the requirements) with your roblox account, then possibly contacting roblox support? Not sure about it.
