This issue happens to me every time I play my new game. It occurs within 5-10 minutes of me joining the game every time. In total it has happened about 6-8 times in the past 2 days (100% of the time). I believe I first noticed this happening about 2-3 days ago, I apologize I don’t remember the exact date.

While this happens to me every time it does not happen to everybody else. Some other players have been disconnected and received this error in my game and others have not. Before this started happening on this game I had never seen this error before.
I use Windows 10 and Google Chrome.
UPDATE on 3/13/19:
For the past 1-2 days this issue has NOT occurred for me and it appears to have been resolved (at least for me). I will keep this updated if this changes.
UPDATE on 3/14/19:
This just occurred again for me after being in the server for about 20 minutes. The issue is NOT resolved.
This just happened to me again a moment ago. It occurred on the same game as I reported earlier. I had not experienced this error for several days until a moment ago.
Hi everyone, thanks for your report. We have this historical issue for a while that our servers are sometime confused with your presence. As our server will keep your presence for several more seconds after your absence in order for it to correctly recognize whether you are still present. So for the following cases it might triggers the error that your presence is duplicated in our system:
Join another game immediately after you left the previous game
Frequent teleport ( the game you are joining might use teleport to implement some advanced functions)
We are try our best to stress this, while it requires mass effort as it may involve server and web changes. What might help for now is that:
for users: delay your join of another game right after leaving the previous one.
for devs: might be helpful to avoid consecutive teleports as this might accidentally kick your player in some cases.
If you are a developer and try to reduce the occurrence of such issue, by saying delaying sometime, I mean mostly 8-10 seconds.
This just happened to me in my game a few moments ago and we don’t use any teleportation and this was the first game I have played so far today.

This is the same game that I had issues with previously.
This occurred again (4/16/19) at 3:54 PM PDT under the same circumstances as before.
Additional thing I’ve noticed is it typically will only disconnect a minority of the players on the server, and its usually the same ones. For example I get this error often on this game, but my other dev friend never gets it, even if we are on at the same time and I get kicked, he does not.
This occurred again (4/16/19) at 10:57 AM PDT under the same circumstances as before however it happened more quickly. I was not able to play the game for as long as it usually lets me.
This occurred to my friend at 4/17/19 11:41 PM PDT. He had been in game for over 30 minutes and there was no teleportation.
This happened again to me on 4/18/19 at 11:59 AM PDT and again at 7:18 PM PDT
This happened again to me on 4/19/19 at 2:18 PM PDT and to my friend at the same time.
This just happened to me several times in a row on 4/20/19 around 12 PM and at 12:22 PM PDT and at 12:35 PM PDT and at 12:55 PM. These times all happened while I was on my iPhone (every other occurrence has been on Windows 10).
This issue has become so persistent that I can no longer provide accurate time stamps to when it occurs as it would take up the majority of my time. It is now guaranteed that whenever I play my game I will be kicked. If I can provide any useful data please let me know. I hope that roblox works to quickly resolve this fatal flaw.
It has occurred on Xbox when I go to a different thing like Microsoft edge and I come back to the game and I lose connection and it’s annoying there’s another bug where you have to restart your game just to get in game
Many many reports of this happening in the game Rogue Lineage which is a permadeath game which punishes people for leaving in combat.
This is causing many people to lose all their progress in the game, which, seen as many have spent hours working towards their items, is a huge loss to them. There have been upwards of 20 reports of this one bug in the last 2 hours on this one game’s bug reports channel in the discord. They all have the same error, Error Code 273, with the same text, being along the lines of somebody has joined on a different device.
Here is the same error from the game “[ Mansion Survival! ] The Conquerors 3.” Note that this error occurs not only in the matchmaking lobby for the game, but ingame as well.
This happened to me and my friends in the server, I noticed something tough…
One of my friends were playing in an android device and then she joined from a PC without disconecting from the android. The moment she loaded on the Windows device we all got this error. Maybe this could shed some light on the issue?
If the pop-up thing says that you are using another device, this means that someone else is trying to join a game, on your account.
Then I recommend you to sign out all other sessions (in Security Settings) and change your password.
If the problem persists, this means that you got either hacked, or it’s just a mysterious bug.
And I also recommend you to up-to-date your launcher.
@xXMonkeyGiraffeXx, Its just a symbol of an error, but all the time, it doesn’t mean your “hacked”, something must have happened. Try finding some other solutions to possibly reproduce this bug.
