This board is used to provide information regarding our upcoming game called ✨Visionary.


What is Visionary? 🌟

Visionary is an RNG-themed game meant for brave players to compete in different game modes across dynamic maps. The game features:

  • Fast-paced player movement: Move quickly and strategically to outmaneuver your opponents.
  • Various game modes and maps: Compete in different game modes across dynamic maps to keep the gameplay fresh and exciting.
  • In-game events: survive various events that occur throughout the game to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Customizable character styles: Change your character's style throughout the gameplay to show off your personal flair.
  • Cosmetic shop: Purchase cosmetics in the shop as it changes every week to keep your look fresh and updated.

The last three players standing are the winners!

We are constantly updating Visionary, and some of the core elements may change over time throughout the development stage.

Minor Fixes for 2023-01-05T19:00:00Z

Main Fixes
  • Lobby now includes redesigned assets created from scratch.

  • Rusty Barn has been updated and now includes the same updated assets from the lobby.

  • Player Animations have been fixed.

  • Game is now optimized with Roblox’s new streaming feature.

  • Lighting has been modified to slightly better the player’s vision.

We hope to better the gameplay by improving many aspects of the main game!

Details regarding Campgrounds - 2023-02-11T19:00:00Z

Details

This map is a remastered version of Rusty Barn, which had too many issues to count.

The map has been in development for a few months and the reason is that the progress kept getting delayed because of my school and some irl stuff but at least the map is finished as of right now

It originally had a beach, just like the lobby, but this map’s sheer size made it difficult for me to include a beach and an ocean.

Campgrounds will be implemented in the 0.8.6 version of Visionary.

Patch Changes :-

This patch includes all the fixes related to the Game not functioning correctly and having performance issues.

Patch Includes -

  • Topbar+ Service not functioning properly

  • Player Walk animation has been removed due to issues

  • Map Voting UI getting a fix

  • Player not able to spawn in the Campgrounds Map.

  • Replaced the existing skybox present in the Visionary Place

  • Lobby Assets having weird placement

This also includes many of the errors present while playing through the game.

Lobby’s lighting has been changed slightly :thinking:

Changelog

This update isn’t that huge because we have things which we’re working on, like a Watch which will replace the Event Announcer/Round Starting Statue Bar with a better system along with Movement Improvement.

As of right now, the game is somewhat playable but lacks a few core features.

We are working on the game regularly, but we don’t write a changelog of the changes we do. However, writing these posts provides us with a way to remember what changes we’ve made.

Future Plan

There is so much we’ve planned for the Future of Visionary but as of right now, Visionary is being worked at a slow paste which means the development is going to take time.

What's going to be added?

  • An improved event announcer

  • Better performance for mobile and low-end computers.

  • Complete overhaul of the UI

  • Touch and Controller Support

  • Many new Items for the Shop

  • Introduction of Emotes

  • Better Discovery Section [Lobby Related]

  • Improved Game Mechanics

  • Many new Items

  • Boss Battles

After we achieve our current goals, we’ll definitely work on the future of Visionary.

This update focuses on many improvements to the player movement handler and Round related stuff so everything should work better than the earlier versions of Visionary.

Huge update! W for visionary :tada:

Square Plain (Map)

  • A retro themed map which uses studs and has stuff that can be destroyed by items.

Visionary Vault (Map)

  • This map has been in the works for a while. It’s about a place that holds the Vault (duh) and keeps secrets of Visionary. :cold_face:

Movement Handler

  • This newly improved Movement Handler fixes many of the issues we had, such as animation glitches or performance-related problems.

UI Overhaul

  • We’ve always wanted to make the UIs feel clean and modern without having to use icons from others. So, I’ve created new icons and other elements on Figma to create clean UIs.

Asset Revamp

  • Visionary’s assets haven’t been the greatest due to my laziness. I wanted to take the time to create better assets for visuals and optimizations.

Visual Improvements

  • Lighting and assets have been refined for this update, making the game feel more optimized than our previous build.

Gameplay Improvements

  • From working on Rounds to UIs, we can finally say that Visionary’s Round System is working flawlessly, and that is epic.

Combat Items

  • We wanted to add more items but didn’t know which ones, so we opted to add these.

  • Snowball (Throwable Item)

  • Fireball (Throwable Item)

  • Revisioned Bomb (Droppable Item)

  • Barrel (Throwable & Droppable Item)

This update is significant for us because we’ve been wanting to improve the whole experience of playing Visionary for everyone.

Also, this update has been in the works since May, and yeah, there’s all that, and maybe I forgor some stuff :skull:
