Visitors shouldn't be able to like posts

That is incorrect, I tested it using @GameInspectors and it appeared

@GameInspectors is a visitor account

Create a new account for the devforum and check the categories before spreading misinformation

Idk i saw this guy called VSCPlays like 5 months ago, and i would always see him being very rude to people and giving destructive criticism, So I decided to be like him but evil, so instead i give constructive criticism and read stuff people make on my free time.

That’s pretty awesome actually, lol.

Yeah you’re right, I was wrong.

This sounds dumb as hell tho lol.

Anyways, then honestly the best change (although I still maintain no change is needed since this is such a stupid issue to be geniunely upset about) would be to take away their dev discussion perms. That way the only things they can like are creations and help topics, annoucements, bugs and resources, as opposed to half the losts in a 100+ reply dev discussion topic.

bro even his bio is spittin facts

just to clarify this is a joke, and its not true anymore.

It seems VSCPlays had a character development arc and he actually became nice and started living in ohio.

they even do this in other categories so that won’t solve the problem

Take a look at one of my old posts at #updates:announcements

image
the majority of these likes are from visitors

They don’t “only do this in #development-discussion” they can do it in other categories which visitors can access, like #bug-reports

I didn’t say it was a solution to the “problem.” I said it was a change than could lessen it WITHOUT removing their ability to like, because they should be able to have that.

Once again, I don’t see a problem, I see a lot of overreacting.

This is most likely be one of those Forum Feature threads that gets ton of discourse but is largely ignored due to the fact that this simply isn’t what the engineers wish to implement.

Id argue he is still the same, he’s still pretty self-centered

Not sure if this is still relevant, but here’s my two cents. Visitors probably like a lot of posts because they think it will make them become member faster. Definitely not the only reason, when I was a visitor I would like any post I agreed with as a way of showing support and there were a lot of them, but my point still stands. Interesting “Proof”

Their thoughts are incorrect, I liked too much posts on an (now deleted) account and didn’t get member

the real way to get member is to read at least 1,000 posts

You can’t show support if you liked a post that has more than 200 likes

I liked a post with over 2,600 likes and my pfp didn’t show up there (I liked it back when there was just 850 likes if my memory isn’t bad)

You just showed me you are a redditor, and that post is 2 years old

They are liking my posts that’s horrible please stop

Well, Visitors are Humans too, we can’t really stop them from liking posts, they are free to like whatever posts they found positive or correct, or others purposes depending on the topic, even if its irrelevant, we can’t stop everyone from doing it.

And we can’t know if thoses Visitors are second accounts or bots for the purpose to obtain badges or be the first in something, or something else.

Thats just what i think.

This is taken from Tanhavampire profile

If they have the most likes on a certain user, and the other likes are really low, then it’s most likely an alt

though My “most liked” one is a bit fair

To be honest it feels more like they found controversial topics positive as to the wording
