As a Roblox developer, it is currently very irritating to develop experiences using voice chat for game mechanics due to the effect of voice chat suspensions.
My game, No Big Deal features voice chat as a significant part of it’s gameplay as users are expected to regularly talk over phones and face-to-face with other players to negotiate and strategize. When a user receives a voice chat suspension mid-game, they are immediately unable to speak to or hear from other players for the next ~5 minutes, which also requires them to rejoin when their suspension is over to restore their voice chat. As the rounds in No Big Deal can be up to 10 minutes long without respawning, this almost immediately leads to players ending their sessions prematurely as they functionally can no longer play the game.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because players would still be able to enjoy the game even while having their voice chat suspended. While not ideal, something like simply muting suspended players while allowing them to hear the voices of others would improve the experience significantly as text communication remains an option.
