Want your game on our Twitch.tv? Use FilteringEnabled

Over the last few weeks the staff have been ‘donged’ a few times while broadcasting on Twitch.tv. We don’t like it, and we don’t like to broadcast that on our channels.

Moving forward, we’re only going to broadcast playtime in games that use FilteringEnabled. We know it’s kind of a pain in the butt to use, but it’s also the best guarantee against exploits.

Reply in this thread if you are nominating your game to be on a broadcast AND it has this setting enabled. Then we’ll check it out.

It’s easy to enable, maybe complicated to code around.

There are some tips on the wiki:

Awesome!
I’m going to nominate Wordfall…why not?

It does have FilteringEnabled on.

Looks like my game is running perfectly with FilteringEnabled

Ugh, really? :I

FilteringEnabled isn’t even possible to work around with some things.

I can also confirm this a screenshot from all of my games at the same time .

Friend connections was a right little … to get filtering on and for it to work correctly ._. We finally got it working after much frustration

What if my game’s completely GUI based?

Can they exploit your GUI, get any images above it?

Also, when I say we’re going to “check out” your games I don’t mean play them. I mean download them with our super powers and see that the Filtering is indeed Enabled. Screenshots are cool, but we don’t count them as 100% proof.

Thanks.

Did this happen at the last stream?

Giant gravity defying genitals were put on a mod. Twice.

Oh lord that’s hilariou- ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE

Trade Hangout 2.0 has used FilteringEnabled for months, but it’s about as exciting as watching a snail cross the golden gate bridge.

GUIs aren’t replicated to other players, but it is entirely possible for exploiters to break your game, remove the GUI, etc. and THEN abuse the stream. If you aren’t modifying the server you should probably have FilteringEnabled anyways.

Most likely, seeing as I’m terrible at security. But since it’s singleplayer (with a (soon-to-come) global leaderboard) it wouldn’t affect the stream. Either way, I can get it to work with FilteringEnabled.

Admins can steel our games :stuck_out_tongue: I’m sure they wouldn’t republish them
[size=1]hope they wouldn’t [/size]

087-2 - Roblox has FilteringEnabled switched on, but like Merely said about his Trade Hangout, it’s about as exiting as watching a snail cross the golden gate bridge.

I got a neat little WIP that has Filtering Enables :P[strike] I just now turned it one and nothing broke; I suppose my coding practice is decent after all [/strike]

[strike]All the welds broke ._. WHYYYYYYYY?[/strike]

Fixed it :stuck_out_tongue: No clue why I had the welding done in the local script of the tool and not the server script…

My game has been using FilteringEnabled for a while. Loadstring is also disabled.

My game has been on the stream once before (with effward), but I was inefficiently saving/loading data and the game broke because I hit the datastore limits. That is fixed and is still a work in progress. Soon, I hope to use universes to make multiple different maps with different themes so players will be able to freely choose what they want to play.

It looks so amazing  But I have no one to play it with :frowning:

I nominate League of ROBLOX, which I have tediously converted into a FilteringEnabled game. That was quite an endeavor. Please repay me with livestream coverage kthxbai. :3
