This response was nothing but… cryptic…
Does this address this… or not?
The points in this response aren’t very helpful and personally the “In the future” reasoning doesn’t really help me, I know it’s slightly off-topic, but Roblox said that public audios would come back… and look where we are over a year later. I feel like these compromises will never happen, but that’s just a personal thought.
This bit saddens me, because they are. The iconic Roblox faces that we all love are literally going away. While people still may be able to use them, my problem is new players (or even veterans who haven’t had a chance to buy them) aren’t able to use them anymore. Why can’t the classic faces, and the new heads, co-exist?
The classic faces cannot be compared to the new dynamic heads (especially if I am using R6) as they do feel quite a bit lifeless and stiff when they are compared side to side. There’s no way that you could put “Stevie Standard” next to “Smile” and say they look similar and remain iconic, it’s a different face.
Another thing I felt was left out in this response was forcing users to change to the new dynamic heads if their avatars had no face. Why? Wouldn’t you want to gauge opinions to see how exactly is using these new heads? Personally, if I wanted to see if my users liked a new addition, I would inform them of it, and then collect analytics to see how many users actually use said addition. If that’s what you’re doing, then your data has been tainted by forcing users to switch over.
The outpouring in this thread is proof that users clearly do not like this change, and while it is your “vision” I hope you can see to listening more broadly to the sensible posts in this thread rather than doubling down and releasing a FAQ that only serves to make things more confusing.
