I’m not making the case to ban Discord links. OP focused this feature request on recruitment issues which can at least be mitigated by privately giving out Discord contact details so signed out <13 users cannot access this.
It’s only a quick-fix suggestion but it will make a difference until something permanent is implemented.

The problem is that we should to come up with this permanent solution first, remember that users that fake their age can see Discord social links so it shouldn’t be much of a problem.
I like the idea I do agree with you however I would see roblox struggle to see a permanent feature.
I don’t think there is any possible permanent solution, that doesn’t violate any laws.
Doesn’t have to be an ID, can be anything else that proves your date of birth. Whether that is an ID, driver’s license, those cards you get from your school, heck even your baptism certificate makes do.

What if they made it so that if you sent a web.roblox link then your profile would be investigated? Sort of like the discord invite situation except silent. DET (or whoever manages those types of things) could look in the profile and see if they consistently post web.roblox links and are generally immature.

Overall when it comes to age security I would only personally work with those willing to VC and talk. It’s a pretty reliable system that ensures most of the time you’re working with professional individuals who are likely to be 13+.
This is pretty common practice on Discord moderation teams where you do a text application and then get in a call with the reviewer. And this should almost guarantee that who you’re working with is trustable, and if they bypass this system as a kid, that still goes to show they’re smarter than some average kid trying to pass themselves as 13+.

well no one is going to ask you to send the pics of your computer and all. its not lazy moderation, but a fault on your part. mods cant investigate 24/7 to see if user is underage.

I honestly don’t agree for two reasons.
If they don’t want to talk on voice chat doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re under 13. Personally, I know some 13+ users who never talk on voicechats unless the person is one who they are familiar with (e.g their
classmates) or simply sound like a ten year old kid.
Remember, your voice usually changes at the ages of 12 and 13.

I actually agree with you here.
I am 19 and I hate voice using voice chat for several reasons. Sometimes someone can be miss understanding and believe you said something wrong or you just don’t have the confidence to voice chat.
You have a better idea? Impersonations of 13+ is really hard to identify, especially if they put in fake information.
To be honest from my other experience from amazon, ebay, wish (even they where bad), Nintendo, curry’s pc world. Roblox is among the worst customer service in my life they don’t actually solve your issue instead they will ask you millions of questions then say that we can’t help you.
Along with reporting an user they tell you to use the report feature button like it isn’t our business.
On amazon you can use the report feature or contact customer service and then they will escalate a case kinda like Discord.
I can see ways now on how roblox can improve such as better customer service and report system but roblox aren’t going to sort that anytime soon.
Really the report feature is “only” and only there just to ease parents from worrying or / roblox getting into trouble on other reasons not having a report abuse feature.

I saw random users on the forum (not gonna say name) who seems to have been underage. For example:
User puts in their bio: Hello my name is (…) and I am 13/14 years old! And the join date of the forum is 2018 or so.
Hm.

Sometimes, if a user is underage, they suspend the user until they are 13. For example, if a user says they are 11, they will suspend them for two years so by the time the suspension is over, they are 13.

What also happens is that an underage user will tell DevRel the date they turn 13 and suspend them until that day.
This is why you see users who joined before they were 13 sometimes.
