I don’t think Byfron modifies network data - it won’t instantly make humanoids or your bad code any more secure than what you can already do, but I suppose for certainty all we can do is wait and see.

If they can find the source of their income, they’ll be able to.
Bungie and Blizzard was able to find paid exploits and press charges and threaten the creators with legal action.
Those guys are harder to find than the skids that’s behind these roblox injection/executions.

Im guessing theyre trying to detect the injection before you even get into game? If so thats still good in my book.

I am happy to see that Roblox is finally doing something to stop or at least prevent exploiters.
I just hope that Linux is not blocked by this anti-cheat, as I am a Linux user myself. If Linux is blocked I will undoubtedly leave the platform and shut down my experiences. I am sure that there are a lot of other developers that are Linux users, if Linux is blocked I believe Roblox will possibly loose a lot of active users and revenue.

Exploiters, need to be first priority, add a system that detects a cheat program in your computer.
One thing that has really bugged me is lack of an official Linux client. There was an old blog post claiming a port was nearly finished years ago, and that vaporized. And to my knowledge they use Ubuntu for RCC services which further proves that a Linux port is possible. Studio is barely usable using grape juice, but the client still acts funny. If this anti cheat supposedly runs on Linux there, shouldn’t be any obvious roadblocks.

This is amazing news! This is the best acquisition Roblox has made besides Guilded. I’m very excited for this to release, as it will solve a lot of problems plaguing the platform. As I stated in other posts, my Roblox game Pan Simulator has been targeted by teams of exploiters and hackers. This should solve all my problems, and even more importantly, solve problems for developers who are just getting started
Overall, this is a major W for Roblox and the acquisition of Byfron will play a huge role in the future of Roblox, just like Guilded hopefully will 
Hardware and poison bans are similar, but they affect more than just IP addresses. I do not believe Roblox would be able to assure that an IP ban will work. Also, they only IP ban users who are breaching the site.

This is a great addition! I have one question though… will devs have to implement this or will it be standard in Roblox games everywhere? (just like the chat system, for example)

Shaders can have a huge advantage in certain games. I recently watched a YouTube video where someone was using shaders in DOORS. He was able to manipulate the lighting in such a way to where it negated the need for a flashlight. Totally by-passing certain gameplay aspects. I personally think they should be banned.

Hi, so i havent read the entire 367 post topic but this was probably already mentioned BUT ‘alt-account detection’ what does this mean for shared alt accounts, or maybe accounts you may use as group management.

To add to that:
I share a household with my 10-year-old brother. We don’t share pcs but we do share the same wifi connection. Does that mean my accounts would be logged as alts of his or vice versa? If he were to download an exploit would my accounts also be moderated? I don’t want the responsibility of monitoring what programs he downloads on his PC.
