You should not worry about if you are not exploiting.

If you don’t share PCs your brother wont get banned probably, correct me if I’m wrong but I think they ban your PC from the game, not your entire wifi connection.

Yeah and you’re not the only case, I’m very sure we can acknowledge that a lot of us have siblings from very early age to adult level and especially with Roblox’ audience, this for sure can cause more harm than good.

People have to acknowledge this, and I believe Roblox shouldn’t limit how many accounts one can create on this platform. I don’t even think they should provide tools considering that all methods ranging from IPs to HWIDs/MAC addresses are unreliable due to how easy it is to just spoof them ( and anyone bringing up ID verification - hell no, you’d really expect everyone to go under that verification? lol )

Overall they shouldn’t bother circumventing alt accounts given the valid reasons.
Instead, focus should be more towards something like the CoreGUI or an anti injection system.

nah there’s more to it ( HWID ban ) , like changing your serial number of all your devices and hardware connected, and clearing all roblox related data & cache on your computer, changing your GUID/registry keys, then pairing it with a VPN preferably a paid one

Tho I’m afraid it’s even more complicated than the aspects above as Roblox could potentially read way more data than above from your hardware/pc to get an unique fingerprint of your device, so they ultimately still have a way to identify your device

What, they really said that? There is no way they will just disregard the whole Linux community on Roblox and just tell us “Tuff.”

As a developer I’m incredibly happy at this news, the exploiting and hacking on Roblox has been one of my main concerns and I’m glad Roblox is moving in this direction. Excited to see what is in store for Byfron and Roblox.

what kind of exploits will hopefully be patched?

Will this provide dos/ddos mitigation? I believe there is a private program for this that developers like cryogenix have access to. I would really like this.

I’m really glad that Roblox is starting to listen to the community, this is something developers have been begging for. I only have ONE concern, will this affect admin systems? The anit-cheat may detect that someone is flying or exceeding the average player speed limit, and I worry that this system will think that they are exploiting. So hopefully there is a setting system that will let us choose whether this affects some players.

Yes. I can’t remember if it was one of the high-up engineers or an engineering executive; one of the two.

Remember for Roblox: “disregard the whole Linux community on Roblox” is still quite small. If killing a couple tens of thousands of Linux players (or whatever the number is) to stop millions of players from quitting a game due to exploiters, I see why they would make that move. Devices like the Stream Deck help our cause, but not enough have shipped to make it worth it for Roblox to support it.

Yes, the roblox community is slam packed with exploiters, but I don’t think people would be happy if they got locked away from accounts they likely spent money on simply because they don’t have a supported device

There’s not even any linux-supported exploits that I know of, there’s definitely a better option than this.

Fortnite: Free2Play,
Valorant: Free2Play,
Overwatch: Free2Play
would’ve ever been financially viable for an entire community of people dedicated to doing so. Quite odd how those 3 games are also all free to play…

It’d be a shame if exploit developers got the idea to manually map their dll into the client + create a thread/hijack a thread/replace a function in the callback table of one of the system libraries to execute the codecave their dll is mapped to + replace their dll’s PE header with ntdll.dll's PEH or similar/erase the PEH by writing 0s to it to avoid detection instead of calling LoadLibraryExW or similar and getting detected immediately.

Me and other developers on the platform have been waiting for an anti-cheat system like this for a long time, so it’s glad to see Roblox is implementing this. One thing though; will this anti-cheat system touch base on saveinstance() or copying experiences?
