It looks like when you made the one on the left, you skills were a bit rusty :stuck_out_tongue:

But, tbh… the newer one looks a bit… too bright.

Very nice improvement, though the eyes make it look a lot like Grillby.

@GregTame It’s because the camera is directly in front of it. It’s much dimmer as you zoom out.

The z-fighting looks interesting in this case. Looks like some animated portal thing.

another slow, uninspiring day.
so i made this to pass the time

It makes easily customize-able tracks.
EDIT: probably going to have to make switches manual, but… better than having to align parts by hand

Redid exporting, importing, and reading of animation ‘files’. Now I can play animations independent of any sort of wait or delay and even play animations backwards.

Here’s the M107a1 reload animation @ 250% speed

It is interesting you choose to have the right arm pull the bolt underhanded where the palm facing upwards. This approach is fine, but your wrist bends outward in a stressful way in this sequence.

An alternate and probably more intuitive motion for such a heavy gun would be to pull the bolt with your palm facing downwards.

Thanks. I’m redoing it tomorrow anyways and this seems like a good reference.

It’s a flickering light thingy. Z-Fighting only ever flashes like that when the camera is moving. In my case the camera is static and there’s sparks coming out of it, that aren’t seen in the previous image. I like it haha

GIF has low frames btw

My journey begins…when a six-shooter isn’t enough.

It still looks like Z-fighting, even up close. I’d recommend CSGing that into multiple pie slices and then flashing them on/off randomly (appears to be the look you’re trying to achieve now), because when the light non-neon blue flashes on you can tell it’s still blending with the black like it’s Z-fighting.

Does the average player know about the negative connotation towards Z-Fighting though? Or will they just think it’s a cool light effect?

Maybe not as Z-fighting, but probably as “Part glitch” or something given how present it is across ROBLOX.

The effect seems a bit too intense, maybe you can make the parts stay in the same places a bit longer?
