What are you working on currently? [2016]

Yeah, it’s really useful.

I was actually looking for something which does UML diagrams for college, I found this and used it for Roblox instead!

Seeing Ninja work on IK got me inspired to work on the legs for KC. I avoided it for a while because I couldn’t seem to get the math just right (which is actually pretty simple…).

I could have just copy+pasted the code for solving the arm IK for legs (and it would have worked just fine!) but it didn’t provide natural movement. If you moved your leg front/back instead of just moving your knee up/down it would twist it around your body to try and connect to it like an arm does (very difficult to explain. Basically legs don’t have as much free-range motion as arms do)

I think this gif explains it a bit better. Old is arm IK, New is the updated leg IK I figured out last tonight:

As you can see, the old IK (arm method) twists around the hip, which is fine in certain cases but results in really odd behavior when moving very far left/right/back.

That doesn’t mean twisting is a useless motion, though! You can still animate twist in the editor quite easily for things like dance moves, as shown near the end of this GIF:

Making Rampart on roblox after being inspired by the cleanliness of Tiny Tanks. Anyone remember that game?

You should make their torso rotation tween between where they’re walking to and their next position. It’ll look more human, I suspect.

It’s a bit late in the year for watermelon though…
ha ha… get it? because… green and pink?

Water-you-melon about? No, but seriously. Was there a trend for that this year? I haven’t noticed…

no, but watermelon is usually in season around summer, offering the best prices and largest melons.

Ok now I feel stupid that I didn’t get the joke, lol…

Currently working on a run animation. Still has a ways to go.

Also working on a car:

I’m just having trouble with body thrusters not glitching when they get near players (and network ownership doesn’t seem to do anything)
