Working on a space exploration game idea atm. Not sure how far I will get but this is what I have so far.
damn, who’s sky is that?
The head is lacking the large round part at the back of the skull, the hands feel way too flat, they need more defined tissue thicknesses for the palms, and the fingers taper too much. The thighs are bowed back in the middle where they should be widened out, and the muscle spacing on the upper arms needs to be moved up more, or if you are going for a two-muscle look, the upper arm should be beefed more. Necks actually lean forward a decent amount, with your “ear” landing above your shoulders (farther forward for programmers, college students, and hunchbacks) as well as it is more uniform in width (your has too much curve and taper) The jaw also needs to be better defined, and drop more. Foot size is fine (Though they seem really detailed for being one of the least seen and looked at body parts (unless you have a fetish for that (not judging (maybe a little)))).
Besides that, looks good, and like you put a lot of effort into getting it to this stage.
Thank you for the feedback!! I’ll try to apply those points.
That looks crazy cool so far.
So will you be able to fly to and explore different planets with their own smooth terrain generated landscapes and stuff?
Been working with @PumpkinWhite on something kinda cool.
So we’re going to have 512x512 renders of crates in the store. They’re going to be little icons. When you click on them an expanded view opens up so you view their stats and buy them. Something kinda neat is how downscaling produces crisper results even if the resulution is exactly the same. Watch:
Native 512 Render:
1024 Render downscaled 2x:
2048 Render downscaled 4x:
The resolution is the same on these (all 512x512) but the higher render resolution + downscale produces better details even though it’s the exact same models.
You can view you full difference yourself here. Open all of them up in different tabs and zoom in (or don’t). Then switch between the tabs and you’ll see what I’m trying to explain a bit better. It’s kinda cool.

It looks nice, the light glow looks a bit odd though
oh wait it’s mist. are you sure that fits on a standalone icon of a crate?
Would it not?
i have no idea, i’m not an expert :c
That looks so familiar, is that from interstellar? (I think that’s what it’s called)
It surely is based from Interstellar, they were called Rangers I think.
It’s just a white skybox with fog.
I haven’t decided if I want people to be able to fly yet because maps would have to be much larger and less detailed. But I have thought of having players get in the ship and then there possibly being a cut scene to them flying away and teleporting to the next location after exploring/completing objectives in that area.
Yes most of my inspiration came from Interstellar and also from other numerous sci fi based games
Might’ve been a (bad?) joke related to No Man’s Sky. (although I was interested in the skybox myself though)
This is awesome!
wow!
