What are you working on currently? [2016]

Maybe a little :wink:

Planes, of course! What else would I be working on?

It carries up to 8 people, including pilot and co-pilot.

Unfortunately, there were more than 8 people online. In order to make sure no one feels left behind, only me and @DataSynchronized are on this flight.

This is the view the co-pilot gets:

View of a passenger:

The plane has a pretty good aerodynamics simulation as well as several alarm and warning systems in case I catch a severe case of bad pilot.

Could be done today before I consider having another build look into doing touch ups and such.

Is there going to be any kind of background out the windows, or just blank sky?

Well…

I’d upload that background in four pieces to get maximum detail. I do it for my loading screens and it looks gorgeous.

Here’s an intro animation and main menu screen I’ve been working on for Disaster Island. Note that it’s still a work in progress and a number of things you see will most likely change. (Sorry for meh audio quality)

It looks nice but its a little long. Players aren’t gonna want to wait a full minute to get into a game. Try to keep it at most 30 seconds.

@Fractality_alt

And I finally made my AI’s keep themselves from becoming one with the walls as well as being slightly smarter with their navigation around obstacles and adding a new variable for their personality:

This new variable allows for me to make AIs that will shoot through their teammates to kill their targets. (Its important to note that the AIs are never on the same team as the player) And at the current moment I’m working on a simple avoidance algorithm for unarmed AIs that’ll make them face the nearest target (hostile player or AI) and back up to avoid being killed by them and if they back into a wall they be so scared that they can’t think to move or they might try to hug along the wall until they are literally cornered in a corner. When this is in a working manner I’ll post a gif for better explination.

Click for more detail. VordonZon made these in Studio, modified them in blender (it was too skinny so he added some thickness), optimized them, then re-uploaded them as meshes. It’s called the ‘Z-34’ in-game but for those wondering it’s a Zev-Custom Glock 34.
