One week later on Roblox Blog: ScriptOn transforms Roblox into the next-gen rendering engine.
I also made my own rendering engine on Roblox. It was 3 years ago. I remembered this after I saw ScriptOn’s version. I opened it up again and made it better after seeing what he did.
It currently has;
- Normal maps. Light bounce, reflection and refraction are affected by normal maps.
- Bilinear interpolation for diffuse and normal maps.
- Fake ambient occlusion at corners.
- Real surface reflectivity based ambient occlusion for whole space.
- Refraction inside a transparent object.
- Reflection caused from refraction.
- Pure reflection.

I created a lightning generator! It is extremely easy to customize different aspects such as segment length, random deviation from past x or z cords, starting height, max y depth, and branching probability. The lightning has collision detection for the main bolt and branches. Thunder noises are also included, with each thunder noise being almost always different from the last.
I have plans to open source a version 2 of this to the Roblox community, for anyone who may find this useful.

We are tying to fix every game breaking bugs and bring you a fluent gaming experience. We wanted to keep its originality but still added some new features which we hope it would bring it more to life.

After 3 hours of re-mapping all meshes and 5 hours of texturing… I present to you:
Lots to do still, but one can only go so far in a day… or well as far as one skill will let him. :L

Its meant to look like he is getting hit with a left hook thus turning his head to the right.
So so far with the boxing game I got character customization
Then after you create your fighter you will be teleported to the gym to fight

I am working on monster’s features for our game Monstrum Remasterred
Currently added ground shake system when near by monster which the shaking value is defined by monster’s size and how far you are from it
Also added a sprint animation

Now this new features makes the monsters to feel like more MONSTERS!
I could probably add metalness and roughness maps in it. Maybe create parallax effects. Add sun rays. Switch to Fresnel shading.
