A bit old but I combined smooth terrain with feathered alpha ground textures blended in to see how it’d look for a terrain layout, and it actually came out quite interesting. Thought I’d share it.

Found an old spaceship model I made back in 2013. Model consists out of 1,420 polys. Thought it’d be interesting to share here.

Worth noting is that in 3dsmax, “Polys” is really a misleading metric because it measures polygons pre-triangulation - your model looks like it’s mostly built with quads (great!) so this means that your triangle count could be up to 2x off (oops).
Spent some time today modeling a doggo head.
Don’t really have a plan for this model past this point. But woof woof, got a doggo’s head modeled.
Finally got some new progress done today, and it was on porting multiplayer from the current version of Sound Volblox into SDVB3. It’s not quite done yet, as:
- You can’t send messages to each other
- Difficulties in the lobby won’t show up
- Transition from lobby → gameplay isn’t quite done
Other than those few things, I’m pretty satisfied with how it’s turning out so far.
