Custom math

I’m not using constraints, just a lot of vector math, maybe that’s why?

I like how your wheels are made of stone.

Got my game working (relatively) smoothly on mobile phones. I’m impressed by Roblox’ optimization, and thank god LOD is a thing.

Just imaging how many equations you had to do to make that work gives me a headache

Added lighting…It’s amazing how much better things can look with the right settings…

From my own experiments, it’s really not that much math.

Trying to work on some type of fix for this:

There’s nothing to show, but I basically took the project I’m working on and completely (and I mean completely) redid the whole system. It’s incomparably better than the old one. I’m now actually able to add stages/levels easily. (If anyone saw my old system, they’d probably rage and get depressed at the same time.) I’m also able to make any single player game off of it.

Anyways, I’ll be finishing and adding a few stages soon. Even I’m not sure what kind of randomness is to come, but expect to be mind nuked. And expect to see illusions galore. :123:

Currently remaking parts of this work in progress map in order to lowwer the polygon count for a less laggy experience.

I finally did something with this back corner kitchen door area.

Also, I added a texture to the street outside, adds some more detail there.

BLOXY AWARDs 2016

As most of you probably know me and a friend have been working on the BLOXY Theatre for the awards this year.

Since it’s still down for maintenance (re-writing seat purchasing to work with an external server rather than datastores) I thought I might as show off what we’ve done for those of you that missed the opportunity to see it when we attempted to release.

A few features the game includes:

  • LOD system rather than rendering an extra 10k parts with 100s of extra humanoids. When you get further away from characters grey blocks take their place.
  • Nominee table seating shows a custom namecard and a miniature avatar.
  • Teleports between the 4 different levels of seating.
  • Camera tweens and UI for viewing and purchasing premium seats located in luxury booths.
  • Seats will start at a base price of 150rs then increase after an increment of 100 seat purchases has been met to match demand.
  • The stream video will include footage of (custom visual effects like fire, confetti and fog), (custom audience animations such as clapping, laughing, itching, stretching, coughing) and (3 different stages that transition between intermissions)

Side notes: There are 6 seats left selling for 150rs, 36 premium booth seats, practically all of the public table seating is free for purchase and around 570 more standard seats.

This is the music in game, play it in the background while viewing the images for a more immersive experience:

Today I worked on scaling some of the guis in my game so that it’s usable in 4k
The home button is still ridiculously small though :stuck_out_tongue:
