Starting to develop the last main key feature of my plane system.

My plane system is going to support both a single pilot and co-pilots which can switch who has the main controls (and owns the physics), and be able to toggle anything else in the plane. Need to add the GUI that switches controllers and add server to client replication of button presses. Theoretically, I could have as many pilots as I want.

It’s a 4k laptop I think haha

dayum. i’m on… 1369x768 capped at 60hz
probably explains a lot about why my GUI design is always so small…

That’s your monitor resolution? And then you use a studio viewport that’s even smaller?? :scream:

4K laptop screen, 1080p USB display directly next to it, the other 1080p USB display is back at ASUS for an RMA. About 14 bright spots when viewed at a non-perpendicular angle. If you constantly switch tabs or windows, definitely consider an Ultrawide or dual monitor setup.

My friend @JohnDrinkin just made a mesh of an EMD F7 locomotive:

I will be programming it to drive itself autonomously for his upcoming city game.

yes… I’ve been meaning to buy a new one. maybe next devex i’ll go all out and get something either 4k, or a couple 1080 or something.

Yey you finally mention him! And if I heard correctly, you’re also going to make it move?

I’m actually pretty happy with how my Concepts of Programming Languages course has turned out this semester (one out of three that I can say the same for over the course of my 75% complete CS degree). The course project was to design an interpreter, for a subset of Lua, surprisingly enough. I just finished up the final part of the project and now it’s fully working:

It wasn’t full-fledged Lua (only data type was ints and variable names were only one char long), and the professor made some weird syntax changes to the boolean/arithmetic expressions, but I still think it’s pretty cool. I could extend this to make my own language if I wanted to.

I am a simple man. I see VAPORWAVE AESTHETIC, I like.

EDIT:

It’s SO GOOD that I just can’t not use it as my desktop background:

Congrats, this image made me decide that looking at a jpeg-compressed picture of a rock was too passé.

@asimo3089 and I just released Jailbreak.
Today it peaked 40,000 concurrent players. Everyone seems to love it. It’s a dream come true.
Today was incredible!
I have been awake for about 22 hours now, goodnight everyone

Fantastic job, happy for you guys. Makes me question how depressing it is that I’ve been developing since 2009 and haven’t gotten anywhere lmao

edit: Maybe it’s because I’m too OCD about the detail in all my projects and can’t suffice for something simpler

Cuffs seemed pretty OP

Do you have a discord where you gather all the feedback??? I sent some bugs in and wanted to know of you read all the feedback. I expect you guys are being spammed with it.

I have a web server but I didn’t anticipate this much traffic. It died. I’m losing feedback and analytics.
I’m going to spin up some new google cloud servers soon and distribute,

Feel free to PM on devforums for a higher chance of me seeing it , because yeah we were getting thousands of feedback messages.
